Technical Nylon
Refuses to age, then expires all at once.
Three layer nylon with taped seams and a matte face. Nothing gets in, nothing gets out, nothing gets recorded. It looks the same in year five as it did in year one, which reads as immortality right until the laminate lets go over a single week and the whole thing is finished. It does not age. It expires.
You are low maintenance in a way that is partly a refusal. Nothing you own carries a mark from a particular day, and the people closest to you have worked out that there is no evidence anywhere in your flat that any specific year happened to you. Being unreadable is a strategy and it works, right up to the moment somebody wants to read you.
Wrong for a fire pit, and wrong for anyone who believes in repair. There is nothing here to repair. There is only the next one.
What you'd actually buy
- A three layer shell in matte ripstop, taped seams, no logo
- A twenty litre roll top pack in coated nylon
- A packable liner that compresses to the size of a loaf
- Sneakers in the same black as everything else you own
