AP Swatch price: C$550 in a Swatch store, C$800 resold

Every price in this note is in Canadian dollars unless marked US$. Resale makes sense only when you want a specific piece that Swatch cannot hand you across a counter. A morning spent in a queue costs hours of your day, so paying C$250 extra buys your time back.

What Swatch charges, and the one way it sells them

Swatch Canada lists six models at C$550 and two at C$590 on its page read 2 November 2026. In the United States, Swatch lists the same six at US$415 and the Lan Ba and OTG Roz at US$445. The collection is sold only at selected Swatch retail stores worldwide, with purchases limited to one watch per person, per day, and per store.

Accessories sell online, but none of the watches can be ordered through the website. The brand does not publish which stores hold stock on any given day.

Toronto police were called to Sherway Gardens at 8:50 in the morning to help with crowd control. Fairview Mall's Swatch store closed for the rest of the day on Saturday 16 May 2026. Swatch Canada cited public safety considerations and asked shoppers not to rush stores in large numbers.

Sixteen asks on one shelf, and the cut on 25 October

On 2 November 2026, 16 Royal Pop pieces sat on the shelf at Utopia, with asks running from C$800 to C$2,500. The median ask among them was C$1,300.

Eight pieces are the watch alone, one of each model, priced between C$800 and C$2,200. Another eight come with an extra strap the shop added, ranging from C$1,000 to C$2,500. You can buy the Otto Rosso alone for C$800, while other models come with rubber, ceramic, or a band the shop calls Steelcase.

On 25 October 2026, the shop cut prices on 15 of the 16 pieces by C$100 to C$700. Otto Rosso, Blaue Acht, and Green Eight fell from C$900 to C$800. Only the Huit Blanc alone kept its ask of C$2,200.

What the gap costs, model by model

The table shows how each watch alone compares to Swatch's Canadian price on 2 November 2026.

Buying all eight models from Swatch Canada totals C$4,480, while taking all eight from the shelf costs C$9,700. The Huit Blanc alone asks C$2,200, which is four times Swatch's price. (The Orenji Hachi and Huit Blanc ask the most, so those are the two to hunt for in a Swatch store first.)

A C$250 gap is what you pay to skip a queue.

A pocket watch, not a wristwatch

Audemars Piguet and Swatch shaped the Royal Pop as a pocket piece rather than a standard wrist design. Each of the eight models uses Bioceramic, a mix of two thirds ceramic and one third material derived from castor oil. A brand new hand wound SISTEM51 movement sits inside either a Lépine or Savonnette case.

The sapphire caseback shows the mechanical movement at work. Swatch launched its first 12 watches in Zürich on 1 March 1983. The Royal Oak collection has been Audemars Piguet's icon since its debut in 1972.
