Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of within, at shopwithin.co. By using within you agree to them.

What within is

within is a place to find and buy pieces from independent boutiques. Every piece on within is listed by a boutique from its own stock, at the boutique's own price. within is run by ShopWithin LLC, from Toronto and New York.

Who sells

You buy directly from the boutique named at checkout, whether you pay on its own website or here on within. The boutique is the seller and merchant of record.

Its prices, stock, shipping, pickup and returns are its own, and it is responsible for the goods it sells, including their quality and warranties. within facilitates the purchase, earns a commission from the boutique and, where a courier is offered, arranges delivery on the boutique's behalf.

Payments

Each boutique takes a separate payment. For purchases completed on within, Square or Stripe processes the payment on behalf of the boutique, and within collects its commission from the boutique.

The payment step names the boutique and its payment provider. Square charges show SQ * followed by the boutique's Square business name, with WITHIN after it when there is room. Stripe charges use the boutique's statement descriptor.

For orders paid on within, request help with a cancellation, return or delivery problem from your order page. Refunds return to the original payment method; the time to appear depends on the payment provider and your bank.

within helps the boutique resolve payment disputes and supplies the order records. For purchases paid on a boutique's own website, that boutique handles payment support. You can also reach us through our Privacy Policy.

Prices and stock

Prices, stock, and pickup and delivery times are set by the boutiques and shown as accurately as we can from live data, but availability can change between browsing and checkout.

Pickup, shipping and returns

Every piece on within comes from a boutique's own stock, so where the boutique offers pickup you can collect it at the counter. Where a boutique ships or delivers, its checkout quotes the cost and the estimate for your order.

For a pickup order paid on within, collect it once the boutique marks it ready. An order left uncollected 5 days after that is cancelled and refunded.

Returns and exchanges follow the boutique's own policy. Our returns page sets out each boutique's terms.

Accounts

You can browse within without an account. If you make one, you sign in with a link we email you, or with Google or Apple.

Keep your access secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can ask us to delete your account at any time, and our Privacy Policy says what that removes.

Using within

Use within lawfully. Don't attempt to disrupt, scrape at scale, reverse engineer, or abuse the service or its providers. Don't use another person's account or pretend to be someone else.

Images

The pictures within makes are within's own: the journal's plates and share cards, and the pictures of the looks. To use one, ask us through our contact page.

Photographs of the pieces belong to the boutiques and designers they come from, and within claims no rights in them. To use one, ask the boutique.

Names and logos

Designer names, boutique names and logos belong to their owners. within uses them to say what a piece is and which boutique sells it. A designer's name on within does not mean that designer works with within.

Links to other sites

within links to boutiques' own websites and checkouts, and to other sites. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and within does not control them.

Disclaimers and liability

within is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, within is not liable for the goods sold by boutiques or for indirect or incidental damages. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
