The men's chart

Ten sizes, 00 through 8, read from Moncler's Canadian size guide on 20 September 2026.

Moncler 00 is IT 42, GB 32, FR 38, US XXS, at an 84cm chest. Moncler 1 is IT 46, GB 36, US S, at 92cm. Moncler 2 is IT 48, GB 38, US M, at 96cm.

It keeps going to Moncler 8 at IT 60, GB 50, US 5XL and a 128cm chest. So the run is wider than the 0 to 5 most people quote.

The women's chart

Ten again, 000 through 7. Moncler 000 is IT 36, GB 4, FR 32, US 3XS. Moncler 1 is IT 42, GB 10, US S.

Moncler 2 is IT 44, GB 12, US M. The top of the run is Moncler 7 at IT 54, GB 22, US 4XL.

The US column is letters, not numbers, on the women's side. Moncler's own data sets Canada to display US sizing by default, so a Canadian shopper sees S, M and L rather than 1, 2 and 3.

What Moncler says about fit

Not much. The size guide's only fit language is a line about showing "how to choose the fit that complements your style".

The useful field is on each product. The Lans down jacket is tagged slim fit with a collar to hem length of 53cm. The Fouine down shirt jacket is tagged regular fit at 66cm.

There is no statement anywhere that Moncler runs small or large. Anyone telling you it does is not quoting Moncler.

Moncler publishes a fit word and a length per jacket. It publishes no warmth rating at all.

Prices, read on the Canadian site

The Lans Packable Short Down Jacket was CAD 1,825, in sizes 00 to 5, tagged slim fit. The Baudinet Short Down Jacket for men was CAD 1,950. The Liane Down Gilet was CAD 1,365.

One caution on the word cheapest. Moncler's category page renders only 14 of its 143 men's down jackets to a reader, so those are verified prices and not a proven floor.

Canada Goose, side by side

Canada Goose publishes a five level scale it calls the Thermal Experience Index. Level 1 is rated 5C to minus 5C, level 3 minus 10C to minus 20C, level 5 minus 30C and below.

The Expedition Parka was CAD 1,995 on its own Canadian site on 20 September 2026. The Lodge Hoodie, a level 2 jacket, was CAD 995. The Snow Mantra Parka topped the list at CAD 2,195.

Canada Goose also states that 100 per cent of the down in its Canadian manufacturing is Responsible Down Standard certified. Moncler blocked every automated read of its warmth or insulation pages on the day.

What the Toronto shelf asks

Counted 20 September 2026: 13 Moncler pieces, CAD 200 to CAD 2,500, median CAD 800. Ten of them are outerwear.

A pre owned Chevalier puffer and a Marjorie Giubotto asked CAD 600 each. A Maya Giubbotto asked CAD 2,000, and a Montcla short down jacket CAD 2,500.

Canada Goose is five pieces, CAD 400 to CAD 800, median CAD 500. That includes a pre owned Kensington Parka at CAD 400. The Moncler shelf and the Canada Goose shelf print the size on each.

Before you buy

Ask for the chest measurement in centimetres, not the Moncler number. The chart maps every size to a chest, and that is the figure you can check against a jacket you own.
