The Track Pant, measured flat

These are the numbers Needles prints for the Poly Smooth Track Pant, style SX406-B, measured flat and unstretched.

Each size adds about two inches at the waist and under an inch in length. The waist is elastic, so the flat measurement is the relaxed one.

Why there is no size chart

Needles does not publish one. Its own size guide page says to get in touch if the measurements are not listed, and the measurements live on each product page.

That matters because the numbers change by style. The Paisley Poly Jacquard Track Pant publishes only M and L. Its M waist is 29.9 inches against 30.3 for the Poly Smooth, and both run 32.3 inches at L.

So a medium in one Track Pant is not a medium in another. Read the page for the exact pair.

Needles prints no size chart. It prints the measurements, style by style.

Where to buy Needles

Keizo Shimizu started Needles in 1995 under Nepenthes, and the pieces state "Made in Japan". Nepenthes runs its own New York shop at 307 W 38th Street and a Los Angeles shop at 715 South Los Angeles Street.

Ten independent shops we track held 65 Needles pieces on 20 September 2026. LESS 17 in Calgary held 20, C$44 to C$738, median C$362.

Lapstone and Hammer in Philadelphia held 15 at a $300 median. ANNMS in Edmonton held 13 at a C$173 median, the cheapest of any shop.

New York, and the price

Blue in Green at 8 Greene Street in SoHo is the only New York independent on our reading, holding 8 pieces at $370 to $625, median $370. It has sold Japanese clothing there since 2006 and opens noon to 8pm Monday to Saturday.

American Rag Cie at 150 S. La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles held 4 at a $296 median.

A Poly Smooth Track Pant lists at $300 from Needles and was marked to $150 in XS on 20 September 2026. The Paisley version was $290 at full price.

They run long rather than wide. The Poly Smooth Track Pant measures 40.9 inches at M and 41.7 inches at L, against a 30.3 inch and 32.3 inch flat waist. Sizes differ between styles, so the Paisley Track Pant is a 29.9 inch waist at M where the Poly Smooth is 30.3 inches.
