Opium outfits: the shape first, then Rick Owens

My stance: Opium is a shape before it is a brand list. People copy the labels Playboi Carti wears and miss the proportion, which is the part that makes it look right. Get a long, close top and a wide or stacked leg in black, and a CAD 199 pair of jeans does the job of a CAD 1,000 pant.

Carti founded the Opium label in Atlanta in 2019, with Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely among its acts. His album Whole Lotta Red came out on 25 December 2020, and the look in its videos is the one people copy now.

The top: long, close and black
