PLATE No. C

Vestiaire Collective charges Canadian buyers a service fee of 5% to 28% of the item price, with a CAD 5 minimum. That is from its own help centre, read on 11 September 2026.

The local reference is separate. The Toronto resale index recorded 325 Chrome Hearts resale listings at a CAD 1,500 median asking price on 11 September 2026. The group includes different kinds of piece, so use the exact item for a buying decision.

This comparison has four parts: item checks, delivery, the total and returns. Canada is a served country on Vestiaire Collective, with its own sales tax page, its own seller fee line and Direct Shipping between Canadian buyers and sellers (source: faq.vestiairecollective.com, read 11 September 2026).

Save the full item title, label size and measurements. For clothing, compare the measurements with something you own. Ask for a separate photo of any area described as worn or repaired.

A comparison needs the same standard on both sides. If one listing includes a strap and another does not, record that difference. Decide whether the missing part would stop you wearing the piece before considering the lower price.

Vestiaire offers two ways to receive an item. With Authenticated Shipping, the seller sends the piece to a Vestiaire hub, where it is checked for authenticity and against the listing, and a refused item means a full refund. With Direct Shipping, the seller posts it straight to you; in Canada that option applies to items listed under CAD 1,500 when buyer and seller are both in Canada, and some brands are excluded from it (source: faq.vestiairecollective.com, Buyer: What Shipping Options Are Available, read 11 September 2026).

| Question to settle | Evidence to save | Why it affects your choice | |---|---|---| | Which item is it? | Model name, label and measurements | Similar names can describe different listings | | What is its condition? | Photos of wear and repairs | You can compare visible differences | | Which shipping applies? | Authenticated or Direct, on the listing | Only one of them includes a physical check | | What arrives with it? | Included parts and packaging | You know exactly what the price covers | | What if there is a problem? | Dispute steps and deadlines | You can find the instructions later |

Do not use a high asking price as evidence of authenticity. It tells you what the seller wants. within does not authenticate items, and an asking price cannot establish authenticity.

the realreal canada as an alternative

Use The RealReal as a second comparison only when you find a close item match. A whole site contains more variation than one purchase needs. Compare the same material and condition, then add the order charges.

The RealReal ships to Canada for US$45 in 3 to 6 business days, delivers duties unpaid, and treats handbags as final sale (source: therealreal.com shipping and returns pages, read 11 September 2026). Vestiaire shows import duties and taxes at checkout instead, so the two delivered totals are built differently.

Write the difference in plain words. A repaired corner, missing accessory or different size is more useful than a broad rating of either service. If the match is poor, keep looking instead of treating the price gap as a saving.

For the Toronto side, the Chrome Hearts shelf provides individual listings to inspect. It held 671 Chrome Hearts pieces on 11 September 2026, asking CAD 100 to CAD 25,000 with a CAD 1,600 median. The Chrome Hearts price guide breaks that down by category.

luxury consignment canada and the full total

The index's CAD 1,500 resale median does not price every Chrome Hearts item. Across all 671 Chrome Hearts listings in that reading, the median ask was CAD 1,600. Rings, clothing and other categories should be compared separately for a purchase.

Record the listing currency before working out the total. Vestiaire's buyer service fee runs 5% to 28% of the item price, higher or lower with the currency and with whether the seller is an individual or a professional, and a CAD 5 minimum applies. Provincial sales tax is added by delivery address, and on an item crossing a border the customs duties, import tax and a handling fee of up to about CAD 9 per item appear at checkout under Import Duties and Taxes (source: faq.vestiairecollective.com, read 11 September 2026).

For a local order, Utopia's shipping terms were read on 11 September. They record free standard shipping on orders over CAD 300 across Canada and the US. WDLT117's own shipping page sets its threshold separately.

Check the Utopia shipping policy and WDLT117 shipping policy for their own orders. A threshold from one shop does not answer another shop's delivery cost. Keep the final quote beside the item price.

The item, its condition and the final total belong in the same comparison.

Returns before you agree to pay

Vestiaire's return rule depends on the seller. Individual sellers take no change of mind returns; you can relist the piece free within 72 hours of delivery and keep the full sale, or relist within 14 days for a smaller processing fee. Professional sellers accept a return within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, and a piece that arrives not as described can be reported either way (source: faq.vestiairecollective.com, Buyer: Return Policy, read 11 September 2026).

Save the rule that applies to your listing. The seller type is printed on the listing, and it decides whether a wrong fit is a return or a relist. If the wording is unclear, ask for the applicable terms in writing.

The Toronto policy comparison is dated 11 September 2026. Utopia states no returns or exchanges. WDLT117 allows exchange or store credit within 14 days of delivery or in store purchase on eligible pieces.

WDLT117 lists jewellery, Last Piece promotions and pieces discounted by half or more among its final sale exclusions. Read the return policy before using the return window in your comparison. The Toronto resale price note covers the separate question of local asking prices.
