Vintage stores NYC: 25 shops with checked addresses
Twenty five New York vintage and archive shops with a checked address: 16 in Manhattan, 7 in Brooklyn, 2 in Queens. Not one of them is a thrift store.

Twenty five New York vintage and archive shops carry a street address in within's book, checked against Google Places between 27 August and 11 September 2026. Sixteen are in Manhattan, seven in Brooklyn and two in Queens.
None of them is a thrift store. A thrift store sells donated clothes by the pound for a charity; every shop below buys its stock and prices it by the piece, and five of the twenty five price against a specific runway season. The full set, a page per shop, is on the New York directory.
The Lower East Side and Chinatown hold eight
This is the densest run of vintage in the city, and you can walk all eight in an afternoon.
Desert Vintage, 34 Orchard St. Procell, 5 Delancey St. Rogue, 154 Allen St, with Rogue Outlet at 313 E Houston St. Ancien is on the list at a 10038 postcode and publishes no street number.
South of Division: James Veloria, 24B Henry Street. Above Chinatown, 75 East Broadway, suite 201. Benthos, 35 East Broadway, third floor. Two of the three publish a floor number rather than a shopfront, which is the tell for archive pricing rather than rack pricing.
SoHo, the East Village and Midtown
What Goes Around Comes Around, 351 West Broadway, the name most visitors find first. The Vintage Twin, 597 Broadway. Thirteen Crosby, 4A Prince St.
In the East Village, two doors on the same street: DUO NYC at 324 East 9th Street and Mr. Throwback at 437 E 9th Street.
New York Vintage is at 117 West 25th Street in Chelsea, Screaming Mimi's at 240 W 14th St in the West Village, parlor floor, and Kaufman's Army & Navy at 319 W 42nd St.
Brooklyn holds seven, and three of them are in Williamsburg
Amarcord Vintage Fashion, 223 Bedford Avenue. Antoinette, 119 Grand Street. Malin Landaeus, 157 N 6th St.
Beyond Williamsburg: Sagebrush Collective at 96 Knickerbocker Avenue, suite 116, entrance on Thames Street, in Bushwick. Harold and Maude Vintage, 592 Lafayette Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Front General Store, 143 Front St in Dumbo. Unearth Vintage, 159 Smith St in Boerum Hill.
Queens is the two nobody lists
Loveday 31, 33-06 31st Avenue in Astoria. Pimbeche Vintage, 29-23 23rd Avenue, also Astoria.
Neither appears in the guides that rank for New York vintage searches. Both publish an address and both came back operational on 31 August 2026.
Eight vintage shops inside ten blocks of the Lower East Side. Every listicle names three of them.

Archive against vintage, and why the price jumps
Five of the twenty five are filed as archive rather than vintage, and the difference shows up in the price. A vintage shop buys by decade. An archive dealer buys by designer, season and runway look, and prices against what that exact piece sold for new.
The five are Procell at 5 Delancey St, Benthos at 35 East Broadway, New York Vintage at 117 West 25th Street, What Goes Around Comes Around at 351 West Broadway and Ancien. Benthos sells from a third floor and Ancien publishes no street number at all.
What this page is not
No New York vintage shop sells through within today. This is a list of shops with a checked address, not a shelf you can buy from.
Shops that want their stock readable from home start at for stores. The two cities where within already prints live stock are Toronto and New York, and New York's first rooms open with the app on October 1.
Common questions
What are the best vintage stores in NYC?
within does not rank shops. Of the twenty five New York vintage and archive shops with an address in this book on 11 September 2026, eight are on the Lower East Side and in Chinatown, three in SoHo and three in Williamsburg, so those three areas hold more than half the city's vintage shopping. Every address was checked against Google Places between 27 August and 11 September 2026.
Where is the best vintage shopping in Brooklyn?
Williamsburg, with three of Brooklyn's seven: Amarcord Vintage Fashion at 223 Bedford Avenue, Antoinette at 119 Grand Street and Malin Landaeus at 157 N 6th St. Bushwick adds Sagebrush Collective at 96 Knickerbocker Avenue, and Bedford-Stuyvesant adds Harold and Maude Vintage at 592 Lafayette Avenue.
Are vintage stores the same as thrift stores in NYC?
No. A thrift store sells donated clothing for a charity and prices it to clear. Every shop on this list buys its own stock and prices it by the piece, and the five archive dealers among them price against the original retail of a specific runway season. Searching for thrift and walking into an archive room is the most common way to be shocked by a price tag in this city.
Every shop above is independent, nobody paid to be on this page, and every address was checked against Google Places between 27 August and 11 September 2026. The full set, a page per shop, is at the New York directory. If one has closed or moved, tell us at hello@shopwithin.co and we will fix it.
within opens the world's best boutique shelves on October 1, Toronto and New York first. Until then, the SoHo guide and the Brooklyn guide cover the rest of the city.
