Import duty from South Korea to the US on clothes, shoes and bags
Goods made in South Korea pay at least 12.5 per cent in all since 24 July 2026: where the US duty is lower, a Section 301 tariff tops it up. A pair of cotton trousers pays its 16.6 per cent and nothing else; a leather bag pays 12.5 instead of 9.
Type the price and what it is. The page works out the US duty, the top up on goods made in South Korea, the processing fee and the courier's fee from the rules in force today.
Rules read on 20 October 2026 from the official sources listed at the end.

Common questions
What is the US tariff on Korean goods?
At least 12.5 per cent in all since 24 July 2026: the US duty, topped up by a Section 301 tariff where it is lower. Cotton trousers pay their 16.6 per cent and nothing more; a leather bag 12.5 instead of 9.
Sources: U.S. International Trade Commission (hts.usitc.gov, 2 pages), read 20 October 2026 and Federal Register (federalregister.gov), read 20 October 2026.
Does the Korea trade deal lower the duty?
It can. Much Korean made clothing enters free of the US duty under the Korea trade deal, KORUS, when the importer claims it, but the 12.5 per cent floor still applies, so the total is 12.5 per cent. This page charges the full duty, the case when nobody claims the deal.
