For WooCommerce boutiques on within
Your WooCommerce store on within.
within works with WooCommerce. Approve it once on your own WordPress, and keep managing products and stock the way you do today. Shoppers on within pay inside within and your share lands in your bank. About ten minutes, start to finish.
Before you start
Three things on the counter and the whole setup fits in one sitting.
- A WordPress login that can manage WooCommerce.
An Administrator or a Shop manager. The approval screen is inside your own WordPress, so a contributor login cannot finish it.
- An email for the owner.
Sign-in links for your order counter and new-order alerts go there.
- Bank details and a piece of ID.
Payouts run through Stripe. The form takes five minutes; a void cheque photo covers the bank part.
Any WooCommerce version from 9 up, on any host. Nothing to install; the within plugin is there if you want a button inside WordPress.
Your products and stock stay in WooCommerce. within keeps them in sync and writes its orders next to yours.
Connect WooCommerce
One link. It works on a laptop or a phone.
- Open the link and choose I use WooCommerce.
Enter your store address (the one shoppers use) and the owner email, then Continue to WordPress.
- Sign in to WordPress and choose Approve.
WordPress shows a screen that says within would like to connect to your store, with read and write access. That is within reading your products and stock and writing the orders it places for you. Nothing else on your site changes.
- Watch the count.
You land on a page that says your store is connected and how many products synced. Every published product with a price comes across; if it says the sync is still finishing, refresh in a minute.
Prefer a button inside WordPress? Install within for WooCommerce from Plugins → Add New, open WooCommerce → within, and tap Connect. Same approval, same result.
Your stock moves in WooCommerce the second something sells, and comes back if it is returned, so there is nothing to reconcile.
Payouts
Shoppers pay inside within. Stripe pays your share to your bank, less within's commission at the rate agreed with your store, and Stripe's card processing comes out of the sale like any card payment. One form, once.
- Open the Get paid tab.
It opens Stripe's form: your business details, a bank account and ID. Five minutes, once.
- Wait for the badge.
Your counter reads Hidden until payouts are active while Stripe checks the details, then Live. The shelf appears to shoppers at that moment.
- Know what you will see on a statement.
A within sale reads WITHIN on the shopper's card statement. Your share arrives by Stripe payout on Stripe's schedule, two business days at first.
within never holds your money. Stripe does, briefly, and then it is in your bank.
Your counter
Store settings, in your within counter. Only the phone is required; the rest makes pickups smoother. Then choose Go live.
- Store phone
- Required. Marketplace support uses it, and couriers do once delivery is on.
- Store hours
- Recommended. Shown to shoppers so they know when to collect.
- Pickup instructions
- Recommended. One line, such as: come to the register with the order name.
- Neighbourhood
- Recommended. The district shoppers know you by. It appears on your pieces.
- Pickup location
- Your store address is read from WooCommerce → Settings → General. Correct it there or on the counter.
- Storefront photo
- Nice to have. A well-lit photo of your room fronts your boutique card in the app.
- Shipping
- Optional. Set a flat rate and shoppers can have a piece shipped; you pack it and mark it shipped with the tracking number.
Bookmark your counter link from Store settings. It signs you in with one tap, so treat it like a password.
Orders
A within order, start to finish.
Never refund a within sale from WooCommerce. The counter has a Process a return box for that, and it puts the stock back for you.
Something missing?
Start with the badge at the top of your counter. It says whether shoppers can see you and what needs attention.
- The badge says Hidden until payouts are active.
- Stripe has not finished checking your details, or the form was never completed. Open the Get paid tab; it says exactly what is missing. The shelf appears the moment Stripe says yes.
- The badge says Paused.
- Open the counter and choose Go live.
- A product is missing.
- In WooCommerce the product needs to be Published, have a price and a photo, and be in stock: either Manage stock on with a quantity above zero, or the stock status set to In stock. Grouped, external, virtual and downloadable products stay off within.
- The stock looks wrong.
- within follows WooCommerce. Fix the count in WooCommerce and it updates on within within a minute on a busy site, and within fifteen minutes on a quiet one, because WordPress sends its updates on its own schedule.
- The counter shows a Reconnect WooCommerce card.
- The within key under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API was removed or changed, so syncing stopped. Tap Reconnect, approve once more on WordPress, and everything resumes.
- How do I get back into my counter?
- Open the portal sign-in page and enter the owner email; a sign-in link arrives. A device stays signed in for 90 days, and the counter link from the welcome email is the bookmark for a shop tablet.
- WordPress says the approval page cannot be found.
- Your site uses plain permalinks. Either switch Settings → Permalinks to Post name, install the within plugin (its Connect button does not need that screen), or paste REST API keys on the advanced path.

Quick answers
- Do within orders show up in my WooCommerce?
- Yes. Each within order appears under WooCommerce → Orders as a Processing order, payment method within, with the items, the shopper's name, and the within order reference as the transaction id, so your sales reports include it. Your WooCommerce stock moves with every within order and comes back if the order is cancelled. The money itself was taken by within, so WooCommerce never charges the shopper a second time; the order there is your record of the sale.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing monthly. within keeps a commission on each sale it brings you, at the rate agreed with your store, and Stripe's card processing comes out of the sale like any card payment. You pay nothing on your own site's traffic.
- Do I need Stripe?
- Yes. Shoppers pay inside within and Stripe pays your share to your bank, so the five minute Stripe form is the one setup step. Your shelf stays hidden until Stripe activates payouts.
- How do refunds work?
- From the within counter. The shopper shows the code from their within order, you look it up and refund it. The refund runs on within, the WooCommerce order is cancelled and its stock goes back. A refund made from WooCommerce does not move any money, because WooCommerce never took any.
- What does within read from my site?
- Your products, variations, prices, photos and stock, and the orders it creates for you. Nothing about your customers, your other orders or your settings beyond the store address and currency.
- Is there a plugin?
- Yes. within for WooCommerce, on the WordPress plugin directory, adds a within page under WooCommerce with a Connect button that runs the same approval in one click, and it works on sites with plain permalinks. The plugin is optional; the link above connects any WooCommerce store without it.
- How do I disconnect?
- Remove the within key under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, or deactivate the plugin. Syncing stops at once and your shelf comes off within. Reconnect any time with the same link.
- Do I need a new workflow?
- Keep managing products and stock in WooCommerce. Orders come by email and sit on the counter, one tap to mark ready.
- Can I pause my store?
- Yes. Pause from Store settings. Your products keep syncing until you go live again.
- Can shoppers get delivery?
- Pickup at your counter, always. Shipping is yours to switch on: in Store settings, set a flat rate and shoppers can have a piece shipped. You pack it, mark it shipped on the Orders tab with the tracking number, and the rate is paid out to you with the sale. Courier delivery within the hour is coming; your counter will say when it is on.
