The two stores, and what separates them

Emily Adams Bode Aujla founded the label in 2016. Hester Street holds the menswear, on the Lower East Side two blocks from Orchard Street.

The phone number on Bode's own page is 929 810 7609. A Cowboy Comic short sleeve shirt lists at $690 on its site.

Worth Street is the womenswear store, in Tribeca. Its number is 646 907 4798 and its email is worth@bode.com. Bode's contact page also lists Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo and a separate fine tailoring appointment.

There is no combined store. If you want both lines in one visit, the walk between them is about fifteen minutes.

What Bode costs on the resale shelf

Tokio 7 at 83 E 7th Street is the only New York shop on our reading holding Bode second hand. On 20 September 2026 it had 9 pieces, $225 to $1,000, median $480. Makoto Watanabe has run the shop since 1996.

Outside New York the resale shelf is deeper. Mergers in Kansas City held 29 pieces at $250 to $2,200, median $550. Frances May in Portland held 25 at $250 to $2,500.

The median Bode piece we could see anywhere cost $650. The cheapest was $180.

Eleven shops, nine cities

Los Angeles has three routes. Mohawk General Store held 14 pieces, median $690, and H. Lorenzo held 6 at a $820 median.

Just One Eye held one piece at $3,585, the dearest Bode of any kind on our whole reading. Forty Five Ten in Dallas held 6 at a $835 median.

ANNMS in Edmonton held 10 at a C$954 median, the highest median of any shop we read. L'Eclaireur in Paris held one at EUR 578, and VSP Consignment in Toronto held two from C$195.

Before you go

Bode pieces are made from old cloth, so two of the same style will not match. Ask which quilt or tablecloth a piece came from. Bode's own staff can answer that, and a resale shop holding 1 piece often cannot.

Sizing runs generous through the shoulder and short in the body on the shirting. Both New York stores take walk ins, so try it rather than order it.
