What Canada Goose accepts within 30 days on canadagoose.com

The rule on canadagoose.com is strict about garment condition. Canada Goose accepts returns within 30 days of the purchase date, but every parka must remain unworn and unwashed with original tags attached. Try it on indoors, and keep every tag on until you are sure.

Some products have their own rules. Footwear returns must include both shoes, both sets of laces, the dust bags and the original case. Socks must come back unopened, and eyewear must come back unworn with its case, cloth and authenticity card, while prescription lenses cannot be returned.

The return window is not the warranty, which our note on the Canada Goose warranty covers. Sam Tick founded Metro Sportswear in Toronto in 1957, and the company took the Canada Goose name in 2000. Its Expedition parka was made for scientists at McMurdo Station in Antarctica and became known as Big Red.

How to start a Canada Goose return and when the refund lands

You start a return on canadagoose.com. Log into My Account or click Create a Return to get a complimentary return label, or call Canada Goose and it will email one. Canada Goose does not accept returns without its official label, and unauthorized shipments will not be processed.

Once the parcel reaches the warehouse, processing takes 1 to 2 business days. The refund then takes 5 to 7 business days to appear on your bank account. If you change your mind immediately after paying, you can cancel an order within 60 minutes during Customer Care hours.

Standard delivery is free, within 7 business days, but if you paid $30 for express or $40 for priority, that fee is not refunded. Orders must be placed and delivered within the same country, and Canada Goose does not ship to PO boxes.

Why boutique markdowns and pre owned parkas cannot go back

Two Toronto boutiques hold Canada Goose, all of it on our Canada Goose page, and their return rules are stricter. At Due West, 72 new Canada Goose pieces run from $69 to $1,795 CAD with a $645 median. Every one of those 72 pieces sits below a compare at price printed beside it.

Due West prices the red Mens Down Parka Expedition at $1,745 against $2,095, and the Womens Parka Ockley Black Label in Admiral Blue at $595 down from $850. Its 30 day policy refunds regular priced items only, so those marked down parkas cannot be refunded.

Pre owned pieces follow an even stricter line. At Utopia, 5 Canada Goose pieces run from $400 to $800 CAD, with 3 pre owned options. Utopia marks all sales final with no returns or exchanges, meaning you own the coat unless they send the wrong item.

The cheaper parkas on boutique racks are the exact coats you cannot return.

When to buy direct versus picking up at a boutique counter

If you have never worn the brand, buy directly from canadagoose.com. Our sizing guide and the Canada Goose size chart narrow it down, but only trying it on settles it. Paying full price gives you 30 days to test the fit at home with a free return label ready.

Head to an independent counter only when you know your exact size and want the price reduction. The Queen Street West boutique at 431 Queen St W in Toronto opens Monday to Saturday 11 to 7 and Sunday 12 to 5, offering counter pickup. A Womens Down Parka Expedition PBI in Royal Blue at $1,795, against a printed $2,145, makes sense only when the fit is settled.

In Yorkville, the shop at 132 Cumberland Street offers pickup at the counter and ships to 237 countries and territories. Its pieces include a pre owned Kensington Parka at $400 in size XS and a new red Freestyle Vest at $500. The Toronto Canada Goose shelf shows both shops' pieces together (if you are between two sizes, order direct and keep the return label).
