Chrome Hearts Cemetery Ring: legit check and price
How to legit check a Chrome Hearts Cemetery Ring: what authenticators measure, the engraving tells, and why one asks $4,500 to $5,500 in CAD.
A Chrome Hearts Cemetery Ring asked $4,500 to $5,500 in Canadian dollars on one resale shelf on 2 October 2026. In 2016, British GQ reports, the same ring resold for around £350.
That climb is why the fakes chase it. Three recent legit check threads on the Chrome Hearts forums ask the same question about it: is mine real?
Quick facts
- Resale, 2016: around £350, per British GQ
- Resale, 2026: just over £1,500, a 329 per cent rise, per the same report
- Shelf price: $4,500 to $5,500 CAD for 4 rings in sizes 7.5, 9, 10 and 13, read 2 October 2026
- Fake rate: 1 in 10 to 15 Chrome Hearts items SNKRDUNK checks, its highest of any brand
- Metal: .925 sterling silver, which a magnet will not pick up
- Founded: 1988, in Los Angeles

Why the ring is a target
British GQ's Adam Cheung went to Paris for his 30th birthday to buy a Cemetery ring. The Avenue Montaigne store told him to come back at 11am, then refused walk ins fifteen minutes before opening.
"Key pieces like the Cemetery ring and Paper Chain necklace have become shorthand for the brand."
That line is from his April 2026 report. When retail says no, buyers turn to resale, and resale is where the fakes wait.
SNKRDUNK, the Japanese resale marketplace, wrote in May 2024 that 1 in 10 to 15 Chrome Hearts items it receives are fake. Rings are the easiest piece to copy, it says, because each is a single piece of metal.
How the fakes are made
SNKRDUNK's authenticators describe the method. Counterfeiters take a rubber mold from a real ring and cast copies by lost wax.
Every cast shrinks slightly, so the copy comes out a touch smaller than the original. Newer fakes use 3D printing to correct for that shrinkage, so size alone no longer settles the question.
That is why the checks are physical. SNKRDUNK measures with calipers, weighs on a scale, reads engravings under a loupe and tests the silver with a specific gravity meter.
What authenticators check
Start with the ring gauge. SNKRDUNK passes a gauge through the ring from the top and again from the bottom, and a fake can read size 21 one way and 20 the other.
Then read the engraving inside the band. LegitGrails, an authentication service, says an authentic stamp is deep and even, and that thin lettering on the "925" and the "2003" is a fake tell.
It also says the dot in ".925" sits close to the 9 on real rings and drifts away from it on fakes. The crosses should be symmetrical.
Then look at the crosses as a set. In a 2022 legit check on the r/ChromeHeart forum, one reviewer said the arms of each cross should nest neatly rather than cut each other off. The same reviewer said the milled ground around them looks too rough on fakes.
Finally, test the metal. Sterling silver is not magnetic, LegitGrails notes, and real silver darkens with a natural patina as it is worn.
The receipt is not proof
SNKRDUNK says Chrome Hearts issued invoices before March 2022 and regular receipts after, and that both are faked. Treat paper as support, never as the answer.
No single tell proves a ring real. A careful seller lets you see it, gauge it and weigh it, and tells you where it came from.

What a real one costs
On 2 October 2026 Utopia, on Cumberland Street in Toronto, held 4 Cemetery Rings across three listings. One listing with no wear note asked $5,500 in sizes 9 and 13.
A lightly used size 10 asked $5,000, and a lightly used size 7.5 asked $4,500. Our Chrome Hearts shelf shows them live.
That puts the Cemetery near the top of the brand's ring prices. Of 73 Chrome Hearts ring listings in the same store, priced $400 to $7,000 with a median of $2,000, only 7 asked $4,500 or more.
The motif runs well past the ring. The store held 28 pieces with Cemetery in the name, from a $1,000 trucker hat to a $7,000 zip up hoodie, among 728 Chrome Hearts pieces in all.
Sizes are the other catch, with only four in stock. Read our Chrome Hearts ring sizing note before you fall for one, and our ring price guide for the rest of the range.
Common questions
Is my Cemetery Ring fake if Grailed denied the listing?
Not necessarily, but treat it as a flag. One poster bought a Cemetery Ring in early 2023 from The RealReal for around $800 USD, then had the Grailed listing denied. A measured check from an authentication service settles it.
Is a 600 dollar Cemetery Ring from a local seller real?
A second poster asked about a ring bought for 600 from a local seller. British GQ put resale at just over £1,500 in 2026, so a price that far below market is itself a warning sign.
How much is a Chrome Hearts Cemetery Ring?
British GQ put resale at just over £1,500 in 2026, up from around £350 in 2016. In Canadian dollars, 4 rings asked $4,500 to $5,500 on 2 October 2026.
What is the Cemetery Ring made of?
It is .925 sterling silver, stamped inside the band. Sterling is not magnetic and darkens with a natural patina, so a ring that grabs a magnet is not silver.
