East 9th Street, five shops in one block

Cloak and Dagger at 334 E 9th Street held 170 pieces from 49 labels, $13 to $680, median $120. It is the newest clothing on the block.

DUO NYC at 324 East 9th Street held 186 pieces across 24 labels, median $175, running up to $3,400. Sisters Wendy and LaRae Kangas have run it here since 2008, and it opens noon to 7pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 6pm Sunday. The rails are vintage Armani, Dior, Jil Sander, Prada and YSL.

Fabulous Fanny's at 335 East 9th Street is eyewear, 283 pieces at a $225 median. 9th Street Vintage at 346 has traded since 2012 under Meri Civorelli, opens noon to 6pm seven days, and carries clothes from the 1880s to the 1980s.

Mr. Throwback at 437 E 9th Street is the sports one. It held 842 pieces at a $92 median, all of it under a single house label.

East 7th Street, and the one that matters

Tokio 7 at 83 E 7th Street is the reason to walk two blocks south. Makoto Watanabe opened it in 1996 and it takes designer consignment.

On 20 September 2026 it held 300 pieces across 123 labels at a $320 median. Nine of those were Bode, eight were Dries Van Noten, four were Lemaire and four were The Row.

That is the highest label count of any shop in the neighbourhood, and the only place here you will find those names. Its cheapest Dries Van Noten was $90 and its cheapest The Row was $110.

Seven shops, 3,688 pieces, and medians running from $86 to $320.

Trash and Vaudeville, still there

Trash and Vaudeville at 96 East 7th Street held 1,907 pieces on 20 September 2026, more than the other six shops combined. Its median was $86 and its ceiling was $980.

It sells the punk and rock clothing it has always sold, across 46 labels. Nothing about it is second hand and nothing about it is expensive.

How to walk it

Start at Tokio 7 on East 7th, then Trash and Vaudeville four doors along. Cut north two blocks to East 9th and work east from 324 to 437.

That is about six minutes of walking. Most of these open at noon, so mornings are wasted here.

The full set sits on our East Village list. The Lower East Side is ten minutes south with nine more shops, and Nolita is west.
