Chrome Hearts jeans price 2026: the patch, not the denim

The Chrome Hearts jeans price at one shop in October 2026 runs $4,000 to $18,000 CAD, and you pay for the patch, not the denim.

Chrome Hearts jeans cost $4,000 to $18,000 CAD at one shop on 22 October 2026, new and secondhand.

My stance: you pay for the patch, not the denim. Another post that week said the denim looks cheap and asked why the jeans cost so much. I half agree, because the jean underneath is ordinary.

What moves the number is what Chrome Hearts puts on top, and where it was sold. The dearest pair on the shop's page is a secondhand Levi's 501 under Chrome Hearts patches, sold as a Paris exclusive.

Quick facts

  • The range: four pairs of jeans, $4,000 to $18,000, new and secondhand
  • The dearest trousers: black and camo cross patch chinos, $20,000, brand new
  • The cheapest trousers: scroll logo sweatpants, $800, secondhand
  • The jean under the dearest pair: a Levi's 501, from the riveted work pant patented in 1873
  • The label: started in a Los Angeles garage in early 1989, by Richard Stark in the Chicago Tribune, 1992
  • On within: 759 Chrome Hearts pieces, delivered to the US, Canada, the UK and Europe, read 22 October 2026

Four pairs, and the patched one costs the most

Every price here comes from one shop: Utopia, at 132 Cumberland Street in Toronto, on 22 October 2026. Chrome Hearts' own store list names no store in Canada, so a pair bought in Canada comes from a shop that is not Chrome Hearts. Resale prices move, so read these as one day's numbers.

Cheapest on the Chrome Hearts jeans page is the Matty Boy Anti Promo jeans, a brand new W36 at $4,000. Two pairs share $8,000: the Fleur Knee jeans in a W31, and the carpenter jeans, the Turbo Diesel pair, brand new in a W34. At the top, $18,000 buys a secondhand yellow pair in a size 34, the Levi's 501 Paris patch jeans.

So the patched city exclusive costs more than four times the cheapest new pair. My pick, if a W36 fits, is the Matty Boy, because the extra on the Paris pair pays for a patch and the word Paris.

Where the price comes from, and it is not the cloth

Richard Stark told the Chicago Tribune in 1992 that he and John Bowman started the business in a Los Angeles garage in early 1989. Both rode bikes, and Bowman made leather goods while Stark sold raw leather. "We couldn't find jackets we really liked," Stark said, so they made their own.

Their third partner, the jeweller Leonard Kamhout, "uses only sterling silver for buttons, grommets, snaps, buckles," in the Tribune's words. The jacket that article opens on had "sterling silver closures and a few crosses appliqued here and there". That is what the label was built on: leather, silver and the cross.

Under the Paris pair is a Levi's 501. Levi's own history dates blue jeans to 1873, when the company and Jacob Davis got a US patent for adding metal rivets to work pants. So the plain part of an $18,000 pair is a riveted work pant.

Trousers against jeans, starting at $800

Trousers cost less to start. You can have the scroll logo sweatpants in black for $800, secondhand in a size S, against $4,000 for the cheapest jean. A Horseshoe Logo pair and a second Scroll Logo pair both sit at $1,600, and the Triple Cross King Taco embroidered sweatpants at $2,800.

Paper Jam Triple Cross sweatpants are $4,500, the cashmere Floral Logo lounge pants $5,000 and the Y Not nylon track pants $5,500. The white Leopard, Patent and Pony Patch Paper Jam sweatpants reach $8,000, level with two of the jeans, and patch is in the name.

No trousers on the page cost more than the cross patch chinos, brand new in black and camo, W31, at $20,000. Brand new in a size M, the After School cross patch flannel pants cost $7,500. Both cross patch pairs sit near the top, and the chinos cost more than any jean.

The denim is a work pant. The cross is the jewellery.

Before you pay, check four things

Buy from a shop that names the condition and the size, because a secondhand pair and a brand new one are different purchases at any price. Then read the fit line beside the tag (the Fleur Knee pair is tagged 32 and fits 30 to 31, by its own listing).

On Sunday, a buyer on a Reddit forum for checking Chrome Hearts asked for help with a Skater Chino. A pair like that goes to the Chrome Hearts legit check before your money does, and how to spot fake Chrome Hearts shows what to look at.

Last, know the return rule. The shop behind every price here says all sales are final, with no returns or exchanges, and promises every product it sells is 100 percent authentic.

Getting a pair shipped to you

Utopia says international customers can expect their order in 7 to 10 business days, with a tracking number on every shipment. Shipping across Canada and the US is free on orders over $300, which every pair here clears by some distance. For a US order, read duty on clothes into the US before you check out.

The Chrome Hearts ring prices make the same argument with the denim taken away.

Common questions

Why are Chrome Hearts so expensive?

You pay for the label's silver and its crosses, and for where a piece was sold, more than for the material. On the jeans, the Paris exclusive pair is $18,000 and the cheapest new pair $4,000. There is more in why Chrome Hearts is so expensive.

Can I buy Chrome Hearts in store?

Yes, in Chrome Hearts' own stores, which its store list names in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, London, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul and more, with none in Canada. In Tokyo, the Aoyama and Ginza stores say appointments are given priority.

Where can I buy Chrome Hearts online?

Through independent shops, like the one behind every price in this note. Its Chrome Hearts pieces are delivered to the US, Canada, the UK and Europe, brand new and secondhand.
