How do I know if my Stone Island is real?
Check the 12 digit Certilogo code first, then the badge, the buttons and the labels. How to tell a real Stone Island piece from a fake.
Your Stone Island is real if its 12 digit Certilogo code checks out. Eligible pieces carry one since Spring Summer 2014.

A real badge proves less than people think. Badges come off with two buttons, so a real one can sit on a fake jacket, and a fake one on a real jacket.
Quick facts
- The code: 12 digits, plus a QR code, on the security label inside, per Stone Island, read 15 October 2026.
- Since: the Spring Summer 2014 collection for Stone Island and Shadow Project.
- Junior: covered from the Fall Winter 2020 collection.
- The badge: an embroidered label held on by 2 buttons, which Stone Island says to remove before washing.
- The buttons: real ones have 4 triangular holes, per the resale shop Truss Archive.
How do I check a Stone Island Certilogo code?
Find the security label inside the garment. Enter the 12 digits on Stone Island's authenticity page, which hands you to Certilogo, or scan the QR code with a phone.

Do it with the piece in your hands. Certilogo warns that a label with a code does not prove the piece is real, and that copied codes will not get an authentic reply. A seller's photo of a code proves nothing about the jacket in the box.
Some pieces carry no code: Stone Island says footwear and some accessories have none, and anything older than Spring Summer 2014 predates the system.
How to spot a fake Stone Island badge
Look at it alongside the rest of the piece, never alone. Stone Island describes the badge as an embroidered label on 2 buttons. Lines differ too: Ghost and Shadow Project pieces use their own badges, so a plain compass on a Ghost piece is a question to ask.

What do real Stone Island buttons look like?
Truss Archive, which sells the label second hand, says real buttons have 4 triangular holes and fakes have round ones. That check helps most with pieces from before 2014, where there is no code to scan.
Check the whole jacket
Find the exact line and season, then compare the fabric, seams, zips and labels with photos of that piece. Everything should fit the same era. To compare against checked pieces, browse the Stone Island shelf.

Common questions
Can a real Stone Island have no Certilogo?
Yes. Pieces made before Spring Summer 2014, footwear and some accessories carry no code.
Is the Stone Island badge on a fake jacket always fake?
No. Badges come off with 2 buttons, so a real badge can be moved onto a fake.
Where is the Certilogo code on Stone Island?
On the security label inside the garment, beside a QR code.
