In 2019 a group of ANTA Sports, FountainVest Partners, Anamered Investments and Tencent bought Amer. Amer left the Helsinki exchange on 5 September 2019, per its own history page. So the label is Canadian in its roots and its head office, and Chinese led in its ownership.

Is Arc'teryx made in Canada?

Some of it. Arc'teryx says its ARC'One factory in New Westminster makes the most demanding pieces, among them the Alpha SV jacket, plus prototypes and short runs. That is about 5% of its total production.

The rest comes from partner factories abroad. BCBusiness names countries from China and Vietnam to Bangladesh and El Salvador. Read the label inside: it names the country for that piece.

Is Arc'teryx a good brand?

It began as a basement workshop making climbing harnesses and packs, per its own history. Mountain Life reports that the Alpha SV has been made since 1998, and that its logo alone takes 1,550 stitches.
