DIEMME's Roccia Vet hiking boot in nut suede is cow leather inside and out on a rubber sole, made in Montebelluna in Italy, CAD 695 at Due West. Roccia means rock in Italian, and the boot comes with a spare set of laces.

Montebelluna is the town in the Veneto where Italy makes its mountain boots, so this is a real hiking boot worn to the office.

The layers: cotton, then wool

Sunspel has made clothes in England since 1860. Its long sleeve crewneck in navy is long staple cotton, CAD 150, thin enough to sit under anything.
