Canada Goose Black Label: what changes, and what does not
Canada Goose Black Label is a regular design with a black disc on the sleeve. The same listed down and rating as its twin, and never rated past TEI 4.
Canada Goose Black Label is a regular Canada Goose design with a black disc on the sleeve. Due West's Lorette 2090L and 2090LB share TEI 3 and list the same down.

Canada Goose itself now calls the line Black Disc. On its Canadian site, read on 18 October 2026, 55 of its 555 products carried that name, and one more still carried the old one. The 38 with a classic twin cost exactly what the twin costs.
Every rated twin pair carries the same rating, so the choice is mostly about the badge. One thing to know before you pay: no Black Disc piece I read is rated past TEI 4.
Quick facts
- What it is: a regular Canada Goose design with a black tonal disc on the left sleeve, in Due West's words.
- Its name on the brand's site: Black Disc on canadagoose.com, 55 of 555 products, plus 1 more, the Freestyle Crew Vest, still listed as Black Label.
- Price against the classic: the same on all 38 Black Disc pieces with a twin, such as the Langford Parka at CAD 1,695 either way.
- The style number: the classic's number plus a B on 37 of the 38 twins, such as 2048M and 2048MB for the Wyndham.
- Highest Black Disc rating: TEI 4, minus 15°C to minus 25°C, on 2 parkas, the men's Langford and the women's Louise, both CAD 1,695.
- On within: 21 Black Label pieces at Due West among 79 Canada Goose pieces, read 18 October 2026.
What is Canada Goose Black Label?
It is a regular Canada Goose design with the disc on the sleeve made black. Due West's description of the Lorette Black Label reads "Black tonal Canada Goose Disc on left sleeve".
The plain Lorette's description has no such line. It lists leather details at the pockets, back vent, sleeve tabs and buttons, which the Black Label page does not mention, so ask the shop.
The listed specifications match. Both say TEI 3, minus 10°C to minus 20°C.
Both say 625 fill power white duck down, with the down and the fur from North America. Both say made in Canada.
The style number gains a B, from 2090L to 2090LB. Canada Goose's own pages follow the same rule: the Shelburne is 3802W, and the Shelburne Black Disc is 3802WB.
Does Black Label cost more?
Not from Canada Goose. On 18 October 2026, all 38 Black Disc pieces with a classic twin cost the same as the twin.
The Wyndham Parka is CAD 1,595 either way, and the MacMillan Parka CAD 1,450. Another 17 Black Disc pieces have no plain twin, such as the Junction Parka Black Disc at CAD 1,450.
A shop can price them apart. At Due West the same day, the Lorette Black Label in black asked CAD 1,545, and the plain Lorette in black asked CAD 1,495.

In navy, it was CAD 1,495 against CAD 1,395. Those are the shop's prices; the brand's own are equal.
The black disc changes the badge; the rating stays the same.
How warm does Black Label go?
Up to TEI 4, as far as the ratings go. Of the 55 Black Disc pieces, 22 carry TEI 1, 7 carry TEI 2, 7 carry TEI 3 and 2 carry TEI 4.
The other 17 print no rating, so TEI 4 is the highest published one. In every twin pair with a rating, the two ratings match.
The warmest two are the Langford Parka Black Disc and the Louise Parka Black Disc, rated minus 15°C to minus 25°C. The Langford's page adds that it runs large and to size down. Our note on Canada Goose sizing explains the fit words.
Canada Goose's scale tops out at TEI 5, minus 30°C and below, which its own page calls the warmest of its parkas. No Expedition Parka or Snow Mantra came in Black Disc. The darker way to get TEI 5 is Tonal Disc.
The women's Expedition Parka Tonal Disc, style 2051WT, is CAD 1,995. The Mystique Parka Tonal Disc is CAD 1,795.

The black versions are new skins on older designs. The Langford's page says it nods to the brand's Chateau Parka of 2011. The Leslie Parka Black Disc takes its cues from the Victoria Parka, first introduced in 2010.
Is all Black Label made in Canada?
No. The four Lorette pages at Due West say made in Canada, but not every Black Label piece is a parka.
At Due West, the Kitsilano rain jacket Black Label says made in Portugal. The Windbridge knit hoody Black Label says Romania, and the youth Sawyer crewneck Black Label says Italy.
Due West's brand note says Canada Goose has made its signature outerwear in Canada since 1957. Read the label on the piece itself, because the knits and rain jackets are another matter.
Who should buy which
- Buy Black Label if you want a quieter sleeve and TEI 4 or less is enough for your winter.
- Buy the classic if you need TEI 5, which no Black Disc piece I read carries.
- Compare the shop's price with the brand's, since the brand asks the same for both.
- Buying second hand? Read how to spot a fake Canada Goose before you pay.
The answer in one paragraph
Canada Goose Black Label, called Black Disc on the brand's own site, is a regular design with a black tonal disc on the sleeve. On 18 October 2026 the brand charged the same for all 38 Black Disc pieces with a classic twin, and no rated piece among the 55 went past TEI 4. Due West's two Lorette pages show the same down, the same rating and the same made in Canada line.

Common questions
Is Canada Goose Black Label warmer than the regular one?
No. Every Black Disc piece with a rated twin carries the same TEI as its twin. Due West's Lorette pages both say TEI 3 and 625 fill power duck down.
What does the B in the style number mean?
On the pages I read, it marks the Black Disc version. The classic Lorette is 2090L and the Black Label is 2090LB. On canadagoose.com, 37 of 38 twins follow that rule.
Is there a Black Label Expedition Parka?
Not on canadagoose.com on 18 October 2026. The classic Expedition Parka is CAD 1,995, and so is its Tonal Disc version, both rated TEI 5.
Where can I buy Canada Goose Black Label?
From Canada Goose, under the name Black Disc, or from a shop that stocks it. Due West had 21 Black Label pieces that day, listed on the Canada Goose page with their sizes.
