Chrome Hearts hoodie price: you pay for what is sewn on
A Chrome Hearts hoodie costs CAD 600 to 8,000 across 169 pieces, and the middle is CAD 2,000 until leather, cashmere or cross patches go on.

The middle price for a Chrome Hearts hoodie is CAD 2,000, across 169 hoodies and sweatshirts. They run CAD 600 to 8,000, and all of them ship worldwide from Canada.
A post on 28 September said Lacy called a Chrome Hearts jacket "cheap". Asked the price, Lacy said $13,000, in the post's dollars. On 22 September a reader asked something plainer: "whats a chrome heart hoodie and what is the significance of it".
A Chrome Hearts hoodie is priced by what is sewn onto it. The name, the city on the back and the famous friend in the photo move it a few hundred dollars; cross patches, leather and cashmere roughly triple it. Each adds a material and a craft.

The logo against the leather cross
Sort the 169 Chrome Hearts hoodies and sweatshirts on the shelf by the words in their titles. The pattern is plain.
Logo pieces and family lines sit at a median of CAD 2,000, city exclusives and collaborations at CAD 2,200. Put a patch, leather, cashmere or Paper Jam in the title and those 16 pieces jump to a median of CAD 6,250.
Pullovers, 85 of them, come in at CAD 2,000 and the 57 zip ups at CAD 2,500, so a zipper moves the price more than a city does. A collector who paid for Cannes on the back will disagree.
For a first one, the logo hoodie at CAD 2,000
The significance starts in a Los Angeles garage in 1988, where Richard Stark and John Bowman began making the leather jackets they could not find. By 2019 WWD counted eight factories making apparel on the brand's Hollywood campus.
In black, the Scroll Logo Pullover Hoodie goes for CAD 1,200 pre owned and CAD 2,000 with no grade. For CAD 1,500 there is a white Vertical Logo Hoodie, and yes, there is a 1988 Hoodie, black and chrome, at CAD 2,000.
Zip ups cost more. The Vertical Logo Thermal Zip Up in black dropped from CAD 3,000 to CAD 2,500 on 22 September, and it comes in XS to XL. (If this month's tank top post sent you looking, the ten tank tops on offer ask CAD 800 to 1,200.)
For the city collector, a few hundred dollars more
WWD reported the St Barths store opening on 7 December 2019 as the 32nd. In May 2026 it reported a 335 square foot boutique inside Palm Beach Cannes on the Croisette, with the brand's first stained glass windows, made with local glass artisans.
The brand's locations page, read today, has the Cannes store on Place Franklin Roosevelt, by appointment; the black Cannes France Exclusive Pullover Hoodie asks CAD 2,800. Gustavia's store and Aspen's, at 208 S Mill Street, are by appointment too. Their exclusives ask CAD 3,500 for the St Barths Exclusive Anchor Hoodie and CAD 4,000 for the Aspen Exclusive Floral Zip Up, top of the city pieces.
Exclusives from Tokyo, where the stores are in Harajuku and Ginza, and from Paris, at 18 Avenue Montaigne, ask CAD 2,500 each. The Las Vegas Exclusive Sign Logo Hoodie comes cheaper, at CAD 1,700. An orange Miami Exclusive Ultra Hoodie asks CAD 1,200 pre owned, from a store the brand marks temporarily closed.
For the family story or the famous friend, the price stays near CAD 2,000
In August 1992 the Tribune listed $95 US leather biker booties "inspired by" Stark's daughter, Jesse Jo, then 16 months old. By December 2019 WWD found Jesse Jo, at 28, a rock singer and the company's vice president, designing horror themed Deadly Doll T shirts.
A reader asked this month why a Deadly Doll shirt ran "nearly 4 bands"; the white Deadly Doll Crewneck, lightly used, is CAD 2,000. The black Deadly Doll Zip Up Hoodie runs CAD 5,000 lightly pre owned and CAD 6,000 with no grade. For less, the pink Laurie Lynn Stark "Love You" Photo Hoodie, lightly used, is CAD 1,700.
That WWD report found a division for each craft on the campus, with new apprentices trained every year. It credited "Sex Records" merchandise, sold at a Maxfield pop up the year before, to Matt DiGiacomo, the brand's artist creative director.
A collaboration costs less than you think. Off-White made T shirts and trucker hats with the brand in 2015 and a follow up the year after, Complex wrote in July 2020. In 2018 came "a bright orange" hoodie carrying both names.
The Bella Hadid collection opened at Selfridges in 2017, and the brand's silver dagger hardware has gone on custom Air Jordan 1s and Rolex watches.
That orange hoodie is for sale: the Off-White x Chrome Hearts 2018 Hoodie in orange and black, lightly pre owned, size M, at exactly CAD 2,000. Two Rolling Stones online exclusives stay close, at CAD 1,500 lightly pre owned and CAD 2,200.
Only two go past CAD 2,200. The Drake Girls Love Chrome Hoodie in light blue, lightly pre owned, asks CAD 4,000, and the Nike NOCTA Pullover Hoodie CAD 5,000. Those five figure numbers in the week's posts were jackets and stacks, not hoodies.

For the heavy piece, leather and cashmere triple the price
The Tribune's 1992 profile opened on a woman trying on "a black quilted leather motorcycle jacket with sterling silver closures and a few crosses appliquéd here and there." Richard Stark told WWD in 2019 that the brand makes its cashmere in Italy with Loro Piana. Laurie Lynn Stark said that year the T shirts had room to grow until everyone in the world wore them, and that the brand chose not to.
"We want to control what we make," Laurie Lynn Stark told WWD in December 2019.
Top of all 169 is not a hoodie at all: a pre owned Matty Boy Sex Records Cross Patch Flannel at CAD 8,000. Cashmere comes next: the Cashmere Cross Patch Knit Sweater at CAD 7,500, then a black Paper Jam Triple Cross Zip Up Hoodie at CAD 7,000. The Leather Plus Cross Scroll Fleece Pullover Hoodie fell from CAD 6,500 to 6,000; a pre owned black Cross Patch Zip Up Hoodie is CAD 3,000.
Before you pay for one
Most of these are one of one. Only 13 of the 169 come in more than one size.
Two titles say the tag runs large: "Size L, Fits M" and "Size S fits S/M". Read the measurements in the photos, not the letter.
Then there is the grade. Take the black Boost Hoodie: CAD 800 pre owned, CAD 1,600 with no grade, the same gap as the Scroll Logo above. No grade means no grade, not new.
Utopia, the resale shop behind all 169, ships from Toronto with tracking, 7 to 10 business days abroad. Every sale is final, so its policy asks buyers to check the size and colour before checkout. Its policy promises: "All products sold are 100% authentic."
If fakes worry you, read how to spot fake Chrome Hearts before paying. Price the work first and the name second; the same test holds for what a Chrome Hearts hat costs and what Chrome Hearts rings cost.
Common questions
How much is a Chrome Hearts hoodie?
A Chrome Hearts hoodie runs CAD 600 to 8,000 on resale, with the middle at CAD 2,000. The brand sells no hoodies online and publishes no price; where to buy Chrome Hearts covers the shops.
Why are Chrome Hearts hoodies so expensive?
The price follows what is sewn on: logo pieces sit near CAD 2,000, and patches, leather or cashmere lift the middle to CAD 6,250. People who say it sells because it is expensive have half a point: the name carries some of the price, the material more. Why Chrome Hearts is so expensive goes further back.
What are Chrome Hearts hoodies made of?
Cotton first: 86 of the 169 carry the cotton tag, and the titles also name thermal, fleece, nylon, leather crosses and cashmere. WWD found eight factories making apparel on the Hollywood campus in 2019, and Richard Stark said the cashmere is made in Italy with Loro Piana.
