La Presse reported in October 2017 that the majority holder was a company owned by InterLuxe, SK Holdings of Korea and a Montreal pension plan.
The Elfassy family's holding company and Elisa Dahan kept a minority stake. The family kept 3 of 10 board seats, and the founders stayed on to run the business from Montreal. We found no later change of control reported up to 15 October 2026.
Is Mackage made in Canada?
Mackage does not make its coats only in Canada, and its site, read 15 October 2026, names no single country of manufacture. In January 2024 the brand began making jackets in Armenia through Lorens NYC, starting with the Freya-TR and Madalyn-TR styles.

The label inside each coat names where it was made, so check it if that matters to you. Mackage says its garment factories are members of amfori BSCI, a supplier code of conduct, and its leather comes from tanneries rated Gold by the Leather Working Group.
What the warranty covers
Mackage covers its outerwear against manufacturing defects for the practical lifetime of the product. Footwear, ready to wear and accessories are not covered.
The coat has to come from an authorized retailer, with proof of purchase. That matters on resale: a secondhand coat may not carry the warranty.
