SSENSE is trading today, and the machine answers are stale
Checked 30 August 2026 at the company registers and the shops themselves: SSENSE, Matches, Farfetch, Net a Porter, Mytheresa, Yoox, Saks and your order.

SSENSE is trading. Checked on 30 August 2026: the SSENSE app on Apple's Canadian store lists Groupe Atallah Inc as its seller, version 4.5.4, published 17 August 2026. A Canadian court accepted the founding family's bid to buy the company back in January 2026, and a seller of record reading Groupe Atallah is what that looks like from the outside.
The reference pages have not caught up. SSENSE's Wikipedia article, read on 30 August 2026, still has the company in creditor protection and names no buyer. The answer engine above the results is worse: a business not really operating, dated to October 2025, accurate that autumn and wrong since the winter. Two results on the same page disagreed about Matches.
So: a status desk. Every line below was checked on 30 August 2026 at a public company register, a court record, or the shop itself. Where our collapse timeline and a live record disagree, the live record wins.
SSENSE is open, smaller, and back in the family
SSENSE is trading as of 30 August 2026, owned by its founders again. The Atallah brothers' bid beat lenders who wanted the company liquidated, and the court took it in January 2026, against a valuation above US$4B in June 2021. An order placed today is an order with a going concern.
Read the rest flat. About a third of the staff went during the court months, and what put the company in front of a judge has not moved: most of its customers are in the United States, behind tariffs, with no de minimis exemption since 29 August 2025.
MatchesFashion is closed, and the old company is still in administration
MatchesFashion is not trading. Companies House lists MATCHESFASHION LIMITED, number 02717838, incorporated 27 May 1992, In Administration, registered care of an insolvency firm in Birmingham. Its accounts have been overdue since October 2024.
The website is where the search results contradict themselves. Today matchesfashion.com carries one word, Relaunching 2026, a box for your email, and a footer reading A Hulcan Group company, © Hulcan 2026. The register shows why: MATCHES TECHNOLOGY LTD, number 16803035, was incorporated on 22 October 2025 as HULCAN LTD, renamed on 1 December 2025, and is Active, run by two directors out of a business park in Rotherham.
An unfilled order from the old shop makes you a creditor of an estate, and the card window below closed long ago.
Farfetch is trading, and Coupang owns it through two London companies
Farfetch is trading. FARFETCH UK LIMITED, number 06400760, shows Active on the register today, and the Canadian site was listing stock under a footer reading © Copyright 2026 FARFETCH UK Limited.
Ownership sits three floors up: Farfetch UK is controlled by Surpique Acquisition Limited, controlled by Surpique Holdings Limited, controlled since 8 October 2025 by Coupang, Inc. Equity in the old listed company was wiped out. The shop that took your order answers to a Korean commerce group.
Net a Porter, Mr Porter and Mytheresa answer to one owner
Net a Porter, Mr Porter and Mytheresa are three shops under one parent, LuxExperience B.V., which trades on the New York Stock Exchange as LUXE and files all three in its luxury segment. Net a Porter's British company, number 03820604, is Active; the ownership change sits a floor up, at its parent Largenta Limited, where Compagnie Financière Richemont S.A. ceased to have control on 23 April 2025 and Luxexperience B.V. was recorded the same day. The Net a Porter and Mr Porter apps shipped on 25 August 2026, Mytheresa's on 27 July 2026.
For an order this changes nothing: separate sites, separate stock, separate returns, separate customer service. One owner, one balance sheet.
Yoox is the off price shelf of that same group
Yoox is trading, a division now rather than a company. LuxExperience files it under off price, against the luxury segment where the other three sit, and the Yoox app shipped on 3 August 2026. The business that invented selling last season's stock online at scale, founded in Italy in 2000, ended 2025 negotiating 145 redundancies with a ministry.

Saks left Chapter 11 in June under a different name
Saks Fifth Avenue is trading, and the company above it is no longer called Saks. Saks Global emerged from Chapter 11 on 26 June 2026 under new ownership as Exemplar Luxury Group, debt down by nearly 75 percent, with Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman the other two banners. The Saks app shipped on 26 August 2026.
Take the store count rather than the name: it came out of court smaller, turned back toward selling in person. None of it reaches this city, where the Canadian shops were liquidated in 2025.
A retailer's status is a fact with a date on it; most pages print the fact without the date.
If a shop you ordered from files, the clock is yours to watch
The card dispute is the only lever a shopper holds, and it expires. Visa publishes its own rulebook, the Visa Core Rules and Visa Product and Service Rules, edition dated 18 April 2026 and read on 30 August 2026, setting the terms under dispute condition 13.1, merchandise or services not received.
Two parts matter. Your bank normally waits 15 calendar days from the transaction date where no delivery date was specified, and that wait does not apply if the merchant is insolvent or bankrupt: that is the sentence to read to your issuer. The dispute must then be processed no later than 120 calendar days from the transaction processing date, or from the last date you expected the goods, and never beyond 540.
The deadline runs off your delivery date rather than off the day the company's trouble reaches the news, and administrations routinely run past 120 days. The rulebook also expects you to have tried the merchant or its liquidator first, close to a formality in an administration, so try it and file anyway. Call the number on the back of the card, say merchandise not received, and have the order confirmation in front of you: the certification your bank files is about a date.
We sell things, so weigh this accordingly: within is a Toronto marketplace, our answer to the replacement question is the boutiques in this city, and how we work is public.
Common questions
Is SSENSE still in business?
Yes. SSENSE is trading as of 30 August 2026, owned again by its founding family after a court accepted their buyback bid in January 2026. It is smaller than it was, about a third of the staff left during the court process, and it still leans on an American customer base sitting behind tariffs.
What happened to MatchesFashion?
MatchesFashion stopped trading in 2024 and its operating company, number 02717838, was still In Administration on the Companies House register on 30 August 2026. The name now sits with a separate company in Rotherham, and matchesfashion.com shows one word and a promise to relaunch in 2026. An unfilled order from the old shop is a claim against an insolvent estate, not a parcel running late.
Is Net a Porter the same as Mytheresa?
No, they are separate shops with separate stock and separate returns, owned by the same parent, LuxExperience B.V., which trades on the New York Stock Exchange as LUXE. Mr Porter and Yoox sit inside that group too. Mytheresa was the buyer in the deal that closed in April 2025, not the other way round.
The last accounts MatchesFashion filed were made up to 31 January 2023. The next set came due in October 2024 and never arrived. The homepage says relaunching.
within opens Toronto's boutique shelves on October 1. Until then, the quizzes will read your taste.
