Chrome Hearts costs most among 19 luxury streetwear brands on boutique shelves: a median ask of CAD 1,800. On the same day, 2 October 2026, Supreme's median was a sixth of that, CAD 300, and Bape's was CAD 108.

On 21 September 2026 a post on X said the Supreme box logo "stopped mattering around 2017 but resale never got the memo." The shelf half agrees. The box logo is still there, but the two dearest Supreme pieces carry a second label's name.

The luxury in luxury streetwear is silver and leather. The logo, and the line outside the shop, cost less than their reputation.

Quick facts

  • Medians of CAD 500 or more: Chrome Hearts 1,800, Rick Owens 1,000, Amiri 600 and Balenciaga 500.
  • From CAD 300 to 350: Gallery Dept. 350, Sp5der 350, Hellstar 350, Supreme 300 and Rhude 300.
  • From CAD 200 to 225: Purple Brand 225, Ksubi 210, Off-White 200, Kith 200 and Essentials 200.
  • Under CAD 200: Represent 195, Travis Scott 150, Aimé Leon Dore 120, Stüssy 120 and Bape 108.
  • On within: 19 streetwear labels among 90 priced designers, each median a boutique's own asking price in CAD, counted 2 October 2026.
  • The top of the page: a Chrome Hearts silver wallet chain, lightly pre owned, at CAD 21,000.

For silver you can weigh: Chrome Hearts

Richard Stark and John Bowman started Chrome Hearts in a Los Angeles garage in 1988. The jeweller Leonard Kamhout joined them, and used only sterling silver for buttons, grommets, snaps and buckles.

"We both rode bikes," Stark told the Chicago Tribune in 1992. "We couldn't find jackets we really liked. So we made our own."

The CFDA says almost every piece is still made in small quantities at its factory in Hollywood. That silver is the price.

Utopia, a resale shop, has 728 Chrome Hearts pieces from CAD 100 to CAD 21,000; the top is a Foti skull wallet chain, 21 inches long. Even the denim climbs: Levi's 501 Paris Exclusive patch jeans, pre owned in a size 34, are CAD 18,000. (The long version is why Chrome Hearts costs what it does.)

For a place in the line: Supreme, Bape and Kith

Supreme opened in Manhattan in April 1994, James Jebbia's skate shop with its own clothes. A year earlier, in Ura Harajuku, Nigo had started A Bathing Ape; today he is artistic director at Kenzo. Kith is the youngest of the three, founded by Ronnie Fieg in New York in 2011.

The drop still empties in a minute: on 28 September a post on X said a Kith release was gone before 10:01, with the site opening at 10am. On the shelf, though, the line costs less than its legend.

Supreme tops out with a Fox Racing jacket at CAD 2,000 and a box logo zip hoodie made with MM6 Maison Margiela at CAD 1,500. Bape's dearest is a varsity jacket made with OVO, CAD 1,000, and Kith's a Batman jersey at CAD 450. Each ceiling carries a second name, and Supreme prices lists the rest.

For the hand: Amiri, Rhude and Off-White

Before there was a label, Mike Amiri made one off, hand embellished stage pieces for Los Angeles performers. The label came in 2014, in his hometown, and a store on Rodeo Drive in 2020.

The jeans carry the price: Leather Chemist jeans at CAD 1,200 and MX1 Black Patch skinny jeans at CAD 1,000, against a CAD 600 median for Amiri.

Rhude can be bought two ways: a Parilla camouflage jacket is CAD 1,295 new at Due West, and a Hills varsity jacket CAD 1,000 resale. Its founder, Rhuigi Villaseñor, spent 2022 to 2023 as creative director of Bally.

Off-White's story runs through an architect. Virgil Abloh trained as one, turned Pyrex Vision into Off-White in Milan in 2013 and led Louis Vuitton's menswear from 2018. In September 2024 LVMH sold the label to Bluestar Alliance, and on the shelf its median is CAD 200.

The line outside is the cheap part. The silver is the luxury.

For every day: Represent, Essentials, Aimé Leon Dore and Stüssy

George and Mike Heaton started Represent in Manchester in 2011, as a college project screen printing graphics onto local blank clothes. A pop up in Manchester in 2022 drew over 2,000 people, many queuing overnight.

At Due West it is new from the label. The Work Jacket is CAD 595, and a Pillow Puffer Bomber is CAD 499, marked down from CAD 945.

Fear of God launched Essentials in March 2018, priced below its main line; Jerry Lorenzo wanted it "at an accessible price." On the resale shelf an FW20 knit hoodie is CAD 500 and SS22 hoodies are CAD 300.

Aimé Leon Dore and Stüssy share a CAD 120 median and little else. Teddy Santis started Aimé Leon Dore in Queens in March 2014, and its dearest piece on the shelf is a Drake's utility pocket sweatshirt at CAD 250. Stüssy is older by decades: Shawn Stussy began it in the early 1980s on Orange County's surfwear, before skaters and hip hop took it up.

Before you buy

Know which shelf you are on. Most of these labels sit at Utopia, a resale shop whose own page says every sale is final, so read each piece's condition first. Orders abroad arrive in 7 to 10 business days.

Due West sells Represent and some Rhude new, and it cannot refund sale items. Every label above, with its range and median, sits on what designers cost, the full price page.

Chrome Hearts began because two riders could not buy the jacket they wanted. Thirty eight years on, that is still the part you pay for.

Common questions

Is Kith considered luxury?

On price, Kith sits with everyday streetwear: a median ask of CAD 200 across 51 pieces on 2 October 2026. Chrome Hearts' median the same day was CAD 1,800.

Is Stüssy a luxury brand?

Its shelf prices say everyday wear: 40 pieces from CAD 90 to CAD 500, with a median of CAD 120, on 2 October 2026. For more, read what Stüssy costs in Canada.

Why is BAPE so cheap right now?

Bape's own pages give no reason. On 2 October 2026 the Bape shelf's median was CAD 108 across 68 pieces, while Bape's own site asked USD 535 for a new shark full zip hoodie.

Every business above is independent, was verified open as of August 2026, and nobody paid to be here. If one has closed or moved, tell us at hello@shopwithin.co and we will fix it.
