Goth
Black dresses, long draped skirts, heeled boots and silver crosses from Chrome Hearts and Emanuele Bicocchi.
To dress goth means choosing black silhouettes shaped by draped fabric, sculptural cuts, heavy sterling silver, and worn leather boots. Texture drives the uniform through matte wool against gloss silk, layered cotton, and dark metals that catch low light. Each silhouette depends on disciplined balance, grounding sweeping volume with tight tailoring.
Goth grew out of British post punk at the end of the seventies, with bands like Bauhaus and Siouxsie and the Banshees. The Batcave club in London became its home in the early eighties. Guidi, a Tuscan tannery since the eighteen nineties, makes back zip boots in horse leather. Heavy silver crosses define Chrome Hearts, and Emanuele Bicocchi makes braided silver chains by hand in Tuscany.
Draped maxi skirts pair naturally with fitted boots, while asymmetric dresses balance heavy pendants. WDLT117 in Toronto carries the skirts, dresses, Guidi boots and Tom Wood rings. Due West adds handmade silver, and Utopia adds Chrome Hearts.
