Common questions
How do I legit check a Chrome Hearts ring?
Start with the seller. New Chrome Hearts silver comes only from the brand's 36 locations and 8 authorized retailers, and its website sells no jewellery at all. In Canada a 925 stamp must sit beside a registered trademark, and a 925 alone proves nothing. Real rings resell from about $400 CAD, with the middle at $2,000.
Is StockX legit?
Yes. StockX is a real company with a published verification process. It says every order on its Verified Marketplace is inspected before it ships or comes from a seller it vetted. On its Listings Marketplace, the shoe is checked only if you pay for verification.
Where can I buy real Chrome Hearts?
New, at one of the brand's 36 locations or its 8 authorized retailers. Anything else is resale, so ask each seller who authenticated the piece and get it in writing. On within, every Chrome Hearts piece names the boutique that sells it.
Do brands check if my piece is real?
A few do. Moncler checks codes at code.moncler.com, Guidi uses a 12 digit code under the left sole, and Amiri checks pieces sent with a receipt from Amiri or its stockists. Bape says it does no authenticity check of any kind, Issey Miyake says it cannot appraise pieces bought outside its own stores, and Nike publishes no guide.
Is a legit check from strangers online enough?
It is an opinion. A seller's written guarantee has a name on it. Guidi says real pairs differ in colour and marks, so a photo is the wrong test there, and StockX, which says it has rejected over 1.4 million items, adds that unauthorized Jordans are often made in the same factory as the real ones.
What if I already paid and it is fake?
The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre says to destroy it or return it to the seller, then report it to local police and to the centre. If you bought it on a marketplace, read its window now: Grailed gives 3 days and Poshmark 72 hours.
