Off-White legit check: is it real or fake?

Off-White publishes no guide to its labels, stitching or tags, and neither does anyone else with something to lose. Three checks trace to a source: the seller, the price and the guarantee in writing.

Answer each check with the piece in front of you, then press Check it. A check marked Counts most is a strong sign on its own. Every check comes from our guide, Off-White real vs fake: retail prices and 50 live pieces.

  1. 1. Did it come new from Off-White's own site?

The brand sells new pieces itself, through a Milan company, with 14 working days to withdraw.

    What to look for

Its terms say pieces bought on the site "are sold directly by The Level S.r.l.", at Piazza Arcole 4 in Milan.

    Pass: Bought from the brand.

Fail: A resale shop has to state its own guarantee.

  2. 2. Is it a T-shirt sold as new for under a third of US$195?Counts most

A T-shirt under a third of the brand's US$195 floor, sold as new, fails the first check.

    What to look for

    On Off-White's US site, read 20 September 2026, 24 T-shirts ran US$195 to US$515, median US$350. A "new" one at $60 is a tell.

Pass: It is not a new tee at a third of retail.

Fail: A "brand new" one at a third of retail is a copy until the seller proves otherwise.

  3. 3. Is the price in line: US$195 to US$515 new, or about $150 to $300 CAD for a worn tee?

A worn T-shirt at $200 against a new one at US$350 is an ordinary resale discount.

    What to look for

    On within's Toronto shelf, read 20 September 2026, 29 Off-White T-shirts asked $150 to $300 CAD, median $200, and 7 hoodies $300 to $700.

Pass: The ask fits a real piece in that condition.

Fail: Compare the price with the brand's own before you pay.

  4. 4. Does the seller state an authenticity guarantee in writing?

A resale shop has to state its own guarantee.

    What to look for

Read the return policy too: at the Toronto counter every sale is final and the inspection happens before you pay.

Pass: The guarantee is in writing.

Fail: Without it, nobody has put their name to the piece.

  5. 5. Has the seller said who checked it, and what happens if a third party later disagrees?

Ask who checked it and what happens if a third party later disagrees, and get the answer in writing before the money moves.

    What to look for

    Get the answer in writing.

Pass: You know who stands behind it.

Fail: Get the answer in writing before the money moves.

What proves nothing

  • A checklist of labels, stitching or tags: nobody with something to lose publishes one, so a list nobody can source makes you confident and nothing else.

If you bought it online, the seller's return window is your friend

Check the window today. Some are only a few days long.

  • Is StockX legit? On its Listings Marketplace the shoe is checked only if you pay for verification.
  • Is GOAT legit? Thirty days from receipt to report a pair that is fake or not as described. Used pairs are final sale.
  • Is Grailed legit? 3 calendar days from receipt to report a piece that is fake or not as described.
  • Is Poshmark legit? 72 hours from the delivery scan to open a case, then the seller is paid.
  • Is Depop legit? 30 days from purchase to report a problem. Its protection covers 3 countries, not Canada.
  • Is The RealReal legit? Ask for a return within 14 days of the shipment date. A bag without its Return Guarantee is final sale.
  • Is SSENSE legit? 30 calendar days from delivery to ask for a return.
  • Is Farfetch legit? 30 days to send it back, and a Canadian order lands duty paid.
  • Is Cettire legit? A return must reach it within 14 days of delivery.

If you already paid and it turns out fake, destroy it or return it to the seller, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre says, then report it to local police and to the centre. Where that comes from.
