Amiri legit check: is it real or fake?

Amiri checks only pieces it or its stockists sold, so these checks start with the receipt. The label comes last: a country on the tag settles nothing.

Answer each check with the piece in front of you, then press Check it. A check marked Counts most is a strong sign on its own. Every check comes from our guide, How to spot fake Amiri: read the receipt, not the label.

  1. 1. Do you have a receipt from Amiri or a stockist on Amiri's list?

A receipt from one of those stores or stockists is the one thing Amiri itself asks to see.

    What to look for

Amiri's store page lists 35 stores, such as 123 to 124 New Bond Street in London. Stockists on its list include Maxfield, Browns, Harrods, Antonioli, Lane Crawford and Luisa Via Roma. Canada has stockists in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Montreal, but none of the 35 stores.

Pass: Send the receipt with clear photos to Amiri's client services, and the brand will check it.

Fail: Amiri says it is "unable to authenticate items purchased outside of our official channels", so the seller's word is what you have.

  2. 2. If you sent it to Amiri with the receipt, did the brand say it is real?Counts most

If it comes from Amiri or a listed stockist, send it to client services with clear photos, and the brand will check it.

    What to look for

Send the invoice with clear photos. Amiri checks only pieces bought from Amiri or an authorized stockist.

Pass: Amiri's own check is the strongest answer there is.

Fail: Amiri's own check said no, and Amiri is the one party that can check it for the brand.

  3. 3. Does the seller give an address, a phone number and a written authenticity policy?

Look for an address, a phone number, a stated authenticity policy, and someone who stands behind the piece if it is wrong.

    What to look for

Utopia, the shop behind the Amiri on within, sells it as resale, so Amiri's own check does not cover it. Its refund page says all products sold are 100% authentic, and that every sale is final.

Pass: Someone stands behind the piece if it is wrong.

Fail: With no address, phone number or policy, nobody answers for it if it is wrong.

  4. 4. Could you verify the seller's email, and find reviews of the seller on other sites?

The Canadian Anti Fraud Centre also says to verify the seller's email and look for reviews from third party sources.

    What to look for

Third party means a site the seller does not run.

Pass: Other people have dealt with this seller.

Fail: A seller nobody else has reviewed is one you are trusting on their own word.

  5. 5. Is the price close to real asks, in its own currency?

A price far below either is a question, not a verdict, and the Anti Fraud Centre names 80% off as a warning sign.

    What to look for

Amiri lists its own jeans at USD 690 to 4,490. Resale jeans on within asked CAD 450 to 1,200, read 29 September 2026. A black MA Core Logo Tee is USD 350 new, and CAD 400 on resale.

Pass: The ask sits with the real ones.

Fail: A price far below real asks is a question to put to the seller, not a verdict.

The real thing, from a shop that stands behind it

What proves nothing

  • A "made in" country on the tag: Amiri's own site says Italy on 478 product pages, Vietnam on 173, the USA on 63 and China on 21.
  • A side by side with a store photo: 684 of Amiri's 922 product pages warn of intentional variations of shading and colour, so two real pieces will not match.
  • A dirty tag after a night out: it settles nothing either way.

Before you pay

Pay with fraud protection, such as a credit card, and pick up and pay in person when you can. That is the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre's advice, which the guide repeats.

If you bought it online, the seller's return window is your friend

Check the window today. Some are only a few days long.

  • Is StockX legit? On its Listings Marketplace the shoe is checked only if you pay for verification.
  • Is GOAT legit? Thirty days from receipt to report a pair that is fake or not as described. Used pairs are final sale.
  • Is Grailed legit? 3 calendar days from receipt to report a piece that is fake or not as described.
  • Is Poshmark legit? 72 hours from the delivery scan to open a case, then the seller is paid.
  • Is Depop legit? 30 days from purchase to report a problem. Its protection covers 3 countries, not Canada.
  • Is The RealReal legit? Ask for a return within 14 days of the shipment date. A bag without its Return Guarantee is final sale.
  • Is SSENSE legit? 30 calendar days from delivery to ask for a return.
  • Is Farfetch legit? 30 days to send it back, and a Canadian order lands duty paid.
  • Is Cettire legit? A return must reach it within 14 days of delivery.

If you already paid and it turns out fake, destroy it or return it to the seller, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre says, then report it to local police and to the centre. Where that comes from.
