Goyard legit check: is it real or fake?

Check a Goyard against Goyard. Its Canadian site prints each bag's size, weight, materials, lining and where it is made. A match proves little, a mismatch is a question, and the seller and the price come next.

Answer each check with the piece in front of you, then press Check it. A check marked Counts most is a strong sign on its own. Every check comes from our guide, How to spot fake Goyard: check it against Goyard itself.

  1. 1. Do the size and weight match Goyard's own page for that bag?

Find the bag on Goyard's own site and compare size, weight, lining, materials and where it was made.

    What to look for

Per Goyard: a Saint Louis PM is 34 by 15 by 28 cm and 300 g; a Saint Sulpice card wallet is 10.5 by 0.3 by 7 cm and 30 g; a Jouvence MM is 24.5 by 7 by 19 cm and 0.34 kg. Sizes run PM, MM and GM, so check the size first.

Pass: It matches. On its own that proves little, because a good fake can copy numbers.

Fail: A mismatch is a question for the seller.

  2. 2. Does the lining match the colour and material on Goyard's page?

If a listing shows only the outside, ask for a photo of the lining; Goyard prints its colour.

    What to look for

The Saint Sulpice has a yellow Nièvre goatskin lining. The Jouvence MM has a yellow water repellent cotton lining.

Pass: The lining is the one Goyard prints.

Fail: A lining that differs from Goyard's page is a question for the seller.

  3. 3. Do the materials and "made in" match Goyard's page?

Goyard's Canadian site, read on 4 October 2026, prints each bag's size, weight, materials, lining and where it is made.

    What to look for

The Saint Louis PM is Goyardine canvas and Chevroches calfskin. The Saint Sulpice is Goyardine with Vauzelles calfskin. All three bags named here are made in France, per Goyard.

    Pass: It matches Goyard's page.

Fail: A mismatch is a question, not a verdict.

  4. 4. Does the seller give an address, a phone number and an authenticity promise in writing?

You want an address, a phone number, an authenticity promise in writing and a name that stands behind the piece if it is wrong.

    What to look for

For a new bag that name is Goyard, whose store page lists no seller but its own boutiques and counters: 10 on its Canadian site, none in Canada.

Pass: A name stands behind the bag.

Fail: A resale bag arrives without its index card. The seller has to stand in for it.

  5. 5. Is the price in line with real asks, in its own currency?

Third, the price, in its own currency.

    What to look for

On within, read 4 October 2026, in CAD: 8 Goyard bags asked $2,000 to $7,500, median $2,300. A Saint Sulpice asked $450 to $800 by colour, and a black Saint Louis Tote PM, second hand, $3,300.

Pass: The ask sits with the real ones.

Fail: Colour and condition move a price, so a price alone settles nothing. The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre flags greatly reduced prices, such as 80% off.

What proves nothing

  • Faded corners: Goyard's care page says the chevron can fade at corners, folds and bottoms with use, and calls that patina a sign of natural materials.
  • Veins, wrinkles and folds in the leather: Goyard calls them proof that the piece is unique and authentic.
  • A match on size, weight and lining alone: a good fake can copy numbers.

Before you pay

Verify the seller's address, phone number and email, pay with a method that has fraud protection, such as a credit card, and pick up and pay in person when you can. That is the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre's advice, which the guide repeats.

If you bought it online, the seller's return window is your friend

Check the window today. Some are only a few days long.

  • Is StockX legit? On its Listings Marketplace the shoe is checked only if you pay for verification.
  • Is GOAT legit? Thirty days from receipt to report a pair that is fake or not as described. Used pairs are final sale.
  • Is Grailed legit? 3 calendar days from receipt to report a piece that is fake or not as described.

  • Is Farfetch legit? 30 days to send it back, and a Canadian order lands duty paid.
  • Is Cettire legit? A return must reach it within 14 days of delivery.

If you already paid and it turns out fake, destroy it or return it to the seller, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre says, then report it to local police and to the centre. Where that comes from.
