Supreme legit check: is it real or fake?

Supreme lists 19 stores and its own online shop, and names no other seller. Check who is selling first, then the price, then the stitching.

Answer each check with the piece in front of you, then press Check it. A check marked Counts most is a strong sign on its own. Every check comes from our guide, How to spot fake Supreme, and why the seller comes first.

  1. 1. Did it come from one of Supreme's 19 stores or its own online shop?

Spotting fake Supreme starts with the seller: Supreme lists 19 stores and its own online shop, and names no other seller.

    What to look for

Its stores run from 190 Bowery in New York to 2/3 Peter Street in London and Torstraße 74 in Berlin, and none is in Canada. Supreme Italia was a different company using the name.

    Pass: Bought from Supreme.

Fail: Anything bought elsewhere is resale, sold on that seller's word.

  2. 2. If it is sold as new, is the price at or above Supreme's own?

A box logo hoodie sold as new for under US$168, the least Supreme's US shop asked for any hooded sweatshirt, is a question for the seller.

    What to look for

Supreme's US shop, read 9 October 2026: hooded sweatshirts US$168 to US$268, tees US$44 to US$58, the World Famous Box Logo New Era cap US$58. None of its 58 products was marked down.

    Pass: The price fits.

Fail: A piece sold as new below Supreme's own price needs an explanation.

  3. 3. Lay a ruler under the box logo. Do all the letters sit on one line, the last "e" too?Counts most

Highsnobiety's first check is a ruler under the letters: on many fakes, every letter lines up except the final "e", which floats a few millimetres high.

    What to look for

Measure along the bottom of the letters.

    Pass: The letters line up.

Fail: A final "e" that floats high is a reason to stop.

  4. 4. Is the red stitching behind the white letters a tight diamond or criss cross?Counts most

Its second is the red stitching behind the white letters, a tight diamond or criss cross on a real one and horizontal or vertical lines on a fake.

    What to look for

Real pre 2007 and tonal hoodies can lack the oval inside the "p", so one odd detail elsewhere is not a verdict.

Pass: The stitching is a tight diamond.

Fail: Red stitching in horizontal or vertical lines instead of a tight diamond is a reason to stop.

  5. 5. Held to the light, does the tee show a faint SUPREME watermark under the wash instructions?

Highsnobiety's check is a faint, all caps SUPREME watermark under the wash instructions, and shirts from 2005 to 2007 can say "SUP" and the year instead.

    What to look for

Hold the tee up to a light.

    Pass: The watermark is there.

Fail: No watermark is a question for the seller.

  6. 6. On a cap, are there six curved stitch lines on the brim?

For a cap, Highsnobiety counts six curved stitch lines on the brim of a real one, and fewer on most fakes.

    What to look for

Count the lines on the top of the brim.

Pass: Six lines, like a real cap.

Fail: Fewer lines is what Highsnobiety sees on most fakes.

  7. 7. Has the seller put the guarantee and the return policy in writing?

If neither, ask who checked it. Get the guarantee and the return policy in writing.

    What to look for

A resale shop's promise is its own, not Supreme's.

Pass: The guarantee is in writing.

Fail: Without it, the piece rests on the seller's word.

What proves nothing

  • A box logo sticker in the bag: Supreme mails 5 of them to anyone who sends US$5 in cash and a stamped envelope.
  • A label that says Supreme: Supreme Italia's said it too, and the company behind it was someone else.
  • A passed tell on its own: it proves less than the seller and the price do.

Before you pay

Verify the seller's address, phone number and email, and pick up and pay in person where you can. Pay with something that has fraud protection, like a credit card: Highsnobiety warns a bank transfer, Zelle or Venmo won't help if the piece turns out fake.

If you bought it online, the seller's return window is your friend

Check the window today. Some are only a few days long.

  • Is StockX legit? On its Listings Marketplace the shoe is checked only if you pay for verification.
  • Is GOAT legit? Thirty days from receipt to report a pair that is fake or not as described. Used pairs are final sale.
  • Is Grailed legit? 3 calendar days from receipt to report a piece that is fake or not as described.
  • Is Poshmark legit? 72 hours from the delivery scan to open a case, then the seller is paid.
  • Is Depop legit? 30 days from purchase to report a problem. Its protection covers 3 countries, not Canada.
  • Is The RealReal legit? Ask for a return within 14 days of the shipment date. A bag without its Return Guarantee is final sale.
  • Is SSENSE legit? 30 calendar days from delivery to ask for a return.
  • Is Farfetch legit? 30 days to send it back, and a Canadian order lands duty paid.
  • Is Cettire legit? A return must reach it within 14 days of delivery.

If you already paid and it turns out fake, destroy it or return it to the seller, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre says, then report it to local police and to the centre. Where that comes from.
