Moncler, founded near Grenoble in the French Alps in the early fifties, made its first down jackets for its own workers. Kapital, founded in the mid eighties in Kojima, a centre of Japanese denim, is known for denim and workwear sewn with sashiko and patchwork. Supreme began as a skate shop in New York in the mid nineties.
