Streetwear for women

Hoodies, sweats, graphic tees, cargo trousers and new drop sneakers.

Streetwear is a casual way of dressing built around graphic tees, hoodies, loose trousers and limited edition sneakers. Boxy cuts in heavy cotton sit over big sneakers, and black, grey and white pieces ground bold hits of green or blue.

Streetwear grew out of New York hip hop in the late seventies and early eighties, then took in the surf and skate culture of Los Angeles, and Japanese labels such as Bape helped carry it around the world. Supreme opened as a shop for skaters on Lafayette Street in New York, and Bape began in Tokyo's Ura Harajuku, where Nigo also opened a shop called Nowhere with Jun Takahashi of Undercover.

Pair a heavy hoodie with relaxed cargo pants and low top sneakers. Utopia in Toronto brings most of this wall: Jordan and Nike sneakers, Chrome Hearts and Supreme hoodies, many of them pre owned. Due West brings Adidas x Wales Bonner and Adidas x Willy Chavarria sneakers, Outlined brings Bape tees, and WDLT117 has Undercover sneakers.
