Techwear

Waterproof shells, down coats and protective fabrics.

Techwear is an urban dress code built around utility clothing engineered for weather protection, movement and comfort. Relaxed trousers cut from canvas meet weather protective jackets in black, olive and grey. Many of its details, such as ripstop cloth, taped seams and waterproof zips, are the same ones used in outdoor clothing.

Stone Island, founded by Massimo Osti in Ravarino, Italy, in the early eighties, is known for its dyeing techniques and fabric treatments. C.P. Company, which Osti founded in Bologna in the early seventies, made the Goggle jacket, with clear lenses set in the hood. Salomon, from Annecy, France, makes shoes for skiing, hiking and trail running.

Outerwear, hoodies and loose pants form the base of the uniform, paired with canvas shoulder bags. Due West in Toronto brings most of this wall, including C.P. Company cargo pants and knitwear, Stutterheim raincoats from Stockholm and Gramicci pants. Utopia in Toronto brings Stone Island, much of it pre owned, and parlor23 in Toronto adds Salomon sneakers.
