Punk and rock
Black denim, bombers, heavy boots and stacked silver, from Amiri, Chrome Hearts, Guidi and Emanuele Bicocchi.
Punk and rock style pairs distressed denim, heavy boots, sharp leather jackets and stacked sterling silver into a raw uniform. Dark black and deep indigo fabrics anchor deconstructed shapes, while sculpted metal jewelry sharpens relaxed cotton tees and oversized trousers.
Punk began in the middle seventies at New York clubs like CBGB and around Malcolm McLaren's shop on the King's Road in London. In Tokyo, Jun Takahashi sang in a Sex Pistols cover band before he started Undercover.
Guidi brings horsehide footwear shaped with vegetable tanning techniques, while Undercover deconstructs classic rock references on graphic shirts. Amiri makes its jeans in Los Angeles and finishes them by hand, and Chrome Hearts adds heavy carved silver. Utopia in Toronto carries Amiri jeans and Chrome Hearts, WDLT117 adds Guidi boots and Tom Wood rings, and Due West adds Emanuele Bicocchi silver.
