About Drôle de Monsieur

Drôle de Monsieur was founded in Dijon in 2014 by two friends, Dany Dos Santos and Maxime Schwab. They wanted to offer a new take on streetwear, and they started with 1,500 euros of their own money. Their first pieces were overalls with a slogan printed on them.
In June 2014 they had two sweatshirts embroidered with the line Not From Paris Madame and wore them to Paris Fashion Week. The line means you do not need to come from a big city to make something big. Beyond the slogan pieces, the label is known for its Reims loafers and its burgundy cotton tracksuits, and it makes vintage style jackets, trousers and graphic T-shirts.
In April 2023 it opened a Paris shop at 28 rue de Poitou in the Haut Marais, in the space Lemaire used to have. That year it was sold in 200 shops in 35 countries, and the Slogan hoodie lists at 228 euros on the label's own shop.
