Guidi began as a tannery in Pescia, Tuscany, in the late eighteen hundreds, and it dyes its boots and shoes in drums after they are made. Emanuele Bicocchi makes its sterling silver jewelry by hand in Italy. Magliano, which Luca Magliano started in Bologna, draws on small town Italy and the city's queer community.
