About MM6 Maison Margiela
MM6 Maison Margiela launched in 1997 as the diffusion line of Maison Margiela. The Belgian designer Martin Margiela founded that label in Paris with Jenny Meirens in 1988. The 6 comes from the numbered labels Margiela began sewing into clothes in 1997, where 6 marks this line. MM6 is the more accessible, everyday side of the label. It makes ready to wear, shoes, bags and accessories for women and men. Renzo Rosso's OTB group bought Maison Margiela in 2002 and still owns it. MM6's autumn winter 2026 show took its theme from Milano Centrale, the main train station in Milan. For spring 2027 it showed clothes for women and men that can be worn more than one way.
