About Off-White
Virgil Abloh founded Off-White in Milan in 2013, a year after his first company, Pyrex Vision. Abloh was an American designer, born in Rockford, Illinois. He described the label as the grey area between black and white. The clothes are known for quotation marks, zip ties, capital letters, barricade tape and diagonal stripes. In 2017 Off-White and Nike released The Ten, reworked sneakers that included Air Jordans, Air Max and Blazers. Abloh was named artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear in 2018, and he died in 2021. Bluestar Alliance bought the label from LVMH in 2024. In August 2026 Off-White announced that creative director Ib Kamara was leaving after four years.
