Chrome Hearts for women

Richard Stark and John Bowman started Chrome Hearts in a Los Angeles garage in 1988. Leonard Kamhout, a sterling silver jeweller, was the third partner. They began with leather motorcycle gear for friends and the local riding scene. The label is known for sterling silver jewellery and leather, and the cross from its logo turns up across its pieces. It won the CFDA's accessory designer award for 1992. Bowman and Kamhout left in 1994. The line now also covers eyewear, clothing and furniture, and the label is based in Hollywood. In 2022 Richard Stark and his wife, Laurie Lynn Stark, received the CFDA's Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award.
