About Mackage
Mackage's Kay down coat fits smaller than true size, the label says. So size up, and size up again if you wear heavy layers under it. It carries the signature Mackage collar, leather trimmed pockets and 800 fill power recycled duck down, 90% down and 10% feathers, rated to minus 25 C.
Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan founded Mackage in Montreal in 1999. It began with women's coats in leather, down and wool, then added men's coats in 2008, children's in 2012 and handbags in 2013. A share purchase in 2016 gave a company with American, Korean and Canadian interests the majority, and the head office stayed in Montreal.
Mackage designs on Chabanel Street in Montreal, and the McCord Stewart Museum's fashion encyclopedia notes that its pieces are made outside Canada. The Kay runs XXS to 2XL, and the charts for the rest of the line are on the Mackage size page.
