500 pieces on those shelvesA low-rise nineteenth-century block that turned over to independent retail from about 2007: independent fashion and streetwear, vintage, jewellery, furniture and a record shop, at ground level in old storefronts. It is a walking strip rather than a transit destination, which is the honest heart of its transit answer.

Getting here
The honest answer is that this is not a subway strip. Ossington station (Line 2) is 1.81 km away, a 22-minute walk; Christie and Dufferin are further. The strip's transit is the 501 Queen streetcar at its south end and the 505 Dundas at its north end, each about 290 m from the middle of the block.
Where it runs
Ossington Avenue itself, from just north of Queen Street West up to Dundas Street West. It is a single-street BIA, 0.054 sq km, the smallest in this set. West Queen West BIA adjoins it to the south and Little Portugal Toronto BIA to the north.
