Undercover for men
Jun Takahashi started Undercover in Tokyo in 1990, a year before he graduated from Bunka Fashion College. He chose the name to give the label a secretive, mysterious air, and its motto is “We make noise, not clothes.” Takahashi sang in a Sex Pistols tribute band as a student, and his clothes mix punk with art, music and subculture. He showed his first collection in Tokyo in 1994 and moved his shows to Paris in 2002. In 2010 he began Gyakusou, a running line with Nike. The name means running in reverse, after his running club's habit of circling Yoyogi Park against the usual direction. For men's fall 2026 he put self portraits by the photographer Cindy Sherman on outerwear, shoes and sneakers.
