Palm Angels became a clothing label in Milan in 2015, a year after the photo book of the same name. The Italian photographer Francesco Ragazzi shot skaters at Venice Beach and Manhattan Beach in black and white for it. Rizzoli published the book, with a foreword by Pharrell Williams. The name came from its first photo, a skater in the air under palm trees. Ragazzi had been artistic director at Moncler. The label mixes Los Angeles skate culture with Italian tailoring. Signatures include tracksuits with striped sleeves, flame and palm tree graphics, gothic lettering and Kill The Bear, a headless teddy bear graphic. In February 2025 Bluestar Alliance bought Palm Angels, and Ragazzi left.
