About Yume Yume
Yume Yume is an Amsterdam footwear label founded by Eva Korsten and Dave Hendriks. The name is the Japanese word for dream. Its spring 2023 collection showed at Milan Fashion Week. The label began as a search for a beach flip flop, after a trip to the Philippines turned up none worth buying. The shoes pair Japanese inspired shapes with a futuristic look and a focus on comfort. Materials include recycled nylon and Italian vegan leather. The Love heel is a thong sandal whose heel is a sculpted heart, first made during the Covid lockdown. The Tyre slide was inspired by a folded bicycle tyre Korsten saw on an Amsterdam street. The Fisherman boot and the Camp shoe are two more signatures.
