About Casablanca
Charaf Tajer founded Casablanca in 2018. Born in Paris to parents of Moroccan descent, he named the label after the city where they met. In 2008 he helped found Pigalle, a Paris streetwear label. Casablanca's first womenswear collection came out in August 2020. It is known for tennis motifs, an après sport look and hand painted prints. Its silk shirts go back to Tajer's summers in Casablanca as a boy, when he saw people there wearing them. In 2020 it was a finalist for the LVMH Prize. It opened its first flagship store in Paris in June 2025, and its first in the United States, in Beverly Hills, that November.
