Lilia Litkovska founded Litkovska in Kyiv in 2009. The label is based in Kyiv and Paris. She comes from four generations of tailors and garment makers. The clothes are built on tailoring, and each piece is made to be worn inside out, deconstructed or reshaped. The motto is that there is no wrong side. The tag in each piece has two layers, the name and above it a blank white strip where the wearer can write her own name. In 2018 the label launched Artisanal, a demi couture upcycling line made from production leftovers. It has shown on the official Paris Fashion Week schedule since 2017. In 2026 the designer said she keeps her team and production in Ukraine.
