About UJOH
UJOH is known for crisp shirts that button at both the front and the back, so you choose which side faces forward. Sizes are plain numbers: on the label's own store a shirt comes in size 2 or size 3, with no letters.
UJOH was founded in Japan in 2009 by Mitsuru Nishizaki and Aco, after years of work as pattern makers. Nishizaki spent seven years cutting patterns at Y's and Yohji Yamamoto. The label's address is in Saitama, with its press office in Tokyo.
UJOH says it breaks the rules of tailoring, and its cuts are asymmetric. It works details from uniforms and military clothing into that tailoring, and it keeps reworking small details, which gives a piece more ways to style and layer.
Six years after he started the label, Nishizaki won a design award sponsored by DHL, and in 2016 he showed in Milan, in a theatre Giorgio Armani lent him. A men's line followed in 2019. UJOH first showed at Paris Fashion Week with its fall 2021 collection and has shown in Paris since.
Check the fabric line before you pay. On UJOH's own store the Square Hem Shirt is 100% polyester and made in Japan, at 64,900 yen.
On 13 October 2026 its tops ran from €128 to €703, in sizes 2 to 5. Pants ran from €526 to €655 and jackets and coats from €256 to €1,152, with dresses from €320 to €1,052 and some pieces marked down.
