Denim Tears outfits: whole looks with every piece named.
Tremaine Emory started Denim Tears in 2019. The first collection came out that summer, on the 400th anniversary of the first slave ship reaching Virginia in 1619. It looked at the history of cotton and slavery in America, with wreath prints on jeans, hoodies and sweatshirts. To Emory, the cotton wreath stands for the African American experience. In January 2020 a capsule with Levi's followed, with 501 jeans, a trucker jacket, a plantation hat and graphic tees. Emory also started the collective No Vacancy Inn with Acyde. He was the first creative director of Supreme, from February 2022 to August 2023. In December 2025 Denim Tears released its first full denim line of its own, after years of making its jeans with Levi's.
