In 1957 the label launched its first perfume, L'Interdit, which Givenchy made for Hepburn. LVMH bought the label in 1988. The British designer Sarah Burton was named creative director in September 2024, for both womenswear and menswear. In March 2026 she presented her fall winter 2026 women's collection, which drew on Northern European old master painting.
