In 1955 she made the quilted 2.55 bag on a gold chain, named after its date of creation. The trimmed tweed suit came in 1956. Matthieu Blazy was named artistic director in December 2024. He showed his first Chanel collection at the Grand Palais in Paris on 6 October 2025. His second couture collection followed at the same venue in July 2026.
