Enfants Riches Déprimés started in Los Angeles in 2012. Henri Alexander Levy, who studied art at UCLA, founded it. The name is French for depressed rich kids. Levy's first designs were shredded T shirts printed with the crest of Le Rosey, the Swiss boarding school he attended. Its pieces are heavily worked by hand and made in very small runs. Materials include hand cast silver, Italian wool and cashmere. Levy has said he is only interested in lifetime pieces. Its first store opened in the Marais in Paris in 2019. A second opened in Seoul in 2025, its first in Asia. In January 2026 it announced a third, in New York's Tribeca.
